Well, I think it goes without saying that both games will obviously be very good games.
However, 343i, while they have very notable skill from a wide range of companies that have made the best of the best games (halo, forza, doom, metroid prime, metal gear solid, etc.) I think they still have to prove themselves able to have cohesive design for a new game.
Bungie on the other hand has to prove the franchise. They have proven skill, but creating a franchise on par with Halo takes more than just talent, it requires a bit of luck. Example, Kojima Productions. MGS is fantastic. Then they made ZoE, which while quite good, wasn't nearly as notable (and since then has been considered signficantly better than people recognized it at the time...for some reason).
But I mean, it's really hard to say. 343i is making a FPS with competitive multiplayer- we know this at its base. Bungie is making an RPG of some kind.
They both really have to prove themselves, and they're not really competing in the same space. Very different games it seems.
