“…On that day, half a century ago, our species was pushed to the crumbling edge of extinction, and as we teetered on that precipice, staring down into the abyss, a hand reached out, and pulled back from the brink, and gave us hope, The hand of a Hero.”
I don't know what it is - and we'll probably have to wait until E3 next year just to find out what it's called - but I think I'm more excited for this next game, than I've ever been for a game before in my life.
I've been with Bungie since Marathon 2, and with Halo since launch. I was excited for Halo, but didn't know what it would be like on a console - my anticipation was there, but nothing like it is now. Halo was excellent, and every subsequent Halo game afterwards you already knew what you were getting - a great story revolving around this already established universe.
Now however, there are no "knowns" about this next game, and the anticipation is higher, for me, than it's ever been. Just seeing those mountains, a star setting over a planet's horizon, new music, a new symbol... an entire new universe.
I can't wait for it. I will probably be a Bungie fan my entire life.
Thanks for 20 Bungie.
I don't really know where I went with this post - but I am going to submit anyway. I just finished the ViDoc, and felt like writing how I felt.
