I'm not quite sure why people are claiming I'm crying or raging just because my opinion differs from the average Halo fan. And it's not like my opinion is blind and baseless either - it comes from my personal experiences, the experiences of others and pure numbers.

"They didn't say what I wanted them to say during THEIR vidoc!" *rage*

Since the release of Reach, Bungie has pretty much remained in silence regarding the core issues with their game. So yes, I am a bit disappointed and that's why I mentioned it in my post. It's also why I am happy Halo is going to a new developer (that has already admitted Reach has faults and is working to fix them).

What are these crazy faults that can be fixed in a TU?

I feel like you're just trying to waste my time by posting that. Anyone who frequented the Reach or Optimatch forums should know the answer to that question.

All I see is the usual complaining and moaning about things a small but vocal minority of the gaming community doesn't like about the game. Just like in H3, and H2.

All you freakin tards complaining about how horrible reach is I have the perfect solution for you; take the -blam!- game out and put in CoD... Problem solved now shut up about the same old redundant -blam!-.

We have the right to voice our perceived faults in a game the moment we've shelled out money in order to play it. It's no different than going to a restaurant, receiving a steak that was undercooked, and sending it back to the kitchen to have it cooked more.

Actually, it is slightly different, since at least at a restaurant, you pay for the steak AFTER you've eaten and enjoyed it.

Have you ever actually visited the Optimatch forum? Or even the Reach forum?
Anyone good at Reach sees obvious flaws. No offense but bad players such as yourself simply don't care and don't realize the glaring flaws.

Yeah i'm bad you aren't even ranked in Arena or have completed the campaign.....

Says the person with an unlinked account. No offense, but if you stoop to "You like reach, therefore you are a bad player." You are sad.

Edit: As an old bungie vidoc said, certain things are liked by certain groups of the playerbase. They don't want to change something to make one group happy, and COMPLETELY alienate the other. Since there was NEVER a clear cut universal "This needs changed." It's hard to do that.

Berzerk Gnome

Reach hands down is the best Halo game of course it is not perfect but no game really is, it had to be different otherwise it would have been a clone of halo2 or 3 and that would have been boring

Average Joe

UCLA - Aerospace Engineering

I loved Halo. I loved Halo so much I actually bothered with the vast majority of this community. But Reach was the sole reason I just up and sold my xbox.

If only I had my average joe interview later. Then I could have at least had my opinions heard by more.

I didn't look at your record. I derived your skill from your forum posts. Upon further inspection I see that you're a Colonel in Halo 3 and I can disregard your opinion.
I don't play Arena because it's annoying, and I sold Reach months ago because it's so bad.
Furthermore, LOL at you having a lower k/d than me when I intentionally strictly used an Assault Rifle for a month before I sold my disc.

I think you might want to check my record again if you seriously think I haven't completed campaign. It was a long, boring and annoying process but I did it.

Not to get away from the point but your service record only shows completing it on co-op......

But deriving my ability from my forum posts? When you have only been a member of Bungie.net since February of this year? You have no idea what you are talking about. \

Everytime a new Halo comes out thats all the forums are used for: moaning about how broken the game is.

He never said you couldn't enjoy Reach.
He said that those who ignore or just don't see the glaring faults in Reach are bad.
There's a huge difference.

An excellent writer can see plot problems in bad movies, but that doesn't mean they can't enjoy watching said bad movie.

As for your edit, it's far easier to change and modify a game for certain player group preferences when the game is built top-down than it is building from the bottom up. Building a game from the bottom up (ie. appealing to the lowest common denominator) completely alienates the core of the player base.

No game is perfect. While some on B.net forums believed that Reach was a disaster, a huge majority of the Halo: Reach population thought otherwise. Majority rules senoir, the game wasn't as bad to fans as you may think it was.

You mean all 30,000 of them?

Reach failed to reach the numbers of Halo 3. It failed.

So no, I'd say the fans were pretty unhappy about Reach.

The people who enjoy and like Halo Reach don't make threads saying how much they like it.

However every fan who doesn't like it for some reason makes threads bashing it. They are the vocal majority, but not the actual majority.

Yeah this is clearly my main account.
My main has been perm banned for 3 years or something now.
It's pretty easy to determine whether you have a 50 or not just by reading forum posts.

I can make things up about my account when there is no way to prove it....

I can hardly post on my perm banned account now can I?

Can you two stop bickering its getting old.

The game is flawed as the sky is blue its fact

You can like the game if you want some people chose to some chose not to. Saying that the game isn't flawed is ridiculous but don't let me stop you from enjoying it.

If it exists.

There are flaws to Reach just like every other game, but I still say its Bungie's best Halo.

You have like 60 games of H3, where were you? Playing CoD?

Speaking of chuckles, let's all lol at IonicPaul, who makes friends with bugs to make up for his lack of human contact.

Remember that Bungie makes games that they like to play. If they think Reach is the penultimate Halo and you don't, they say "Too bad." Maybe it's not a sales pitch. Maybe it's actually Bungie's opinion.

I agree, although I think it's a lot harder to admit failure when you've got no chance to correct it. If you fail at first but succeed after, it's easy to admit the first failure. But if the last thing you do is a failure, it's going to be a lot harder to come to terms with. Bungie might be a developer, but it's also a group of people with emotions and a deep love of Halo. When Marcus Lehto summed up how he thought Reach was perfect, I admit that I was first wondering whether he was looking at the game or the piece of paper with the game's description on it. But soon after I came to realise that he was the person in charge of that final farewell, and he wasn't going to tarnish it by criticising it.
