I used to get on these forums back in the Halo 1, anticipating Halo 2 days...I'm back :)
1.Halo: CE, Countless hours playing system link, and it being the reason I bought an xbox, and the first FPS I enjoyed, nothing can really beat it for me.
2. Halo Reach, Bungie did a great job reinventing Halo. I love how well the MP is put together, and the Campaign was pretty decent as well.
3. Halo ODST, Ever since I started playing Halo, I wondered what it would be like to be a soldier that ISN'T invincible in the Halo universe. It brought Firefight into Halo (finally) and I had plenty of fun with my friends exploring the city.
4. Halo 2, It was hard to put this game behind ODST, because I loved most of it. I spent nearly as many hours on Halo 2 as I did CE, but what put Halo 2 in 4th for me, was the "nerfing" of most of the weapons in MP. I was a big fan of the magnum in Halo 2 until they made it less useful than a Red Ryder BB gun.
5. Halo 3, I really didn't enjoy this game. Call me a noob all you want (though it'll make you seem pretty immature), I didn't like how the weapons felt, which was a big thing for me. I didn't have much fun in the Campaign, and some of the scenes (like Sgt Johnson's death...gimme a break) were just corny and...terrible. I won't deny that it was a decent game though, and it brought a crucial thing to FPS games: Theater mode. Oh...and Forge, but Bungie wasn't the first with that.
Please remember that these are all opinion, and you shouldn't get your panties in a bunch over it. I'm certainly not a "noob", because I've been playing Halo since the beginning. I was even following it pre-release.
