I've been curious about this for quite sometime... What is Bungie's policy about their employees going on the website or forums during work? I know for me it is frowned upon to be going on any website not work related. However, I feel like this website is related to work since it is your company's website...

So, is it frowned upon to go on the website if you aren't someone like Achronos, urk, stosh, etc. or is it alright as long as you don't waste too much time on the website?

They're probably busy for most of the day, but I would assume that they wouldn't mind if they checked in occasionally. I remember that not all employees have gold text.

I'm sure that they would be able to... providing they do their share of work as well. At least, that's how most jobs work out to be like in the end.

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

I would assume they have the ability to check it every once in a while.

But that is a good question. I wonder how much they can come to these forums at work

Some employees actually post without many noticing that they are Bungie employees. Such as MeepoParty, others just don't have the time, or want the attention.

From the looks of things, they only posted in optimatch.

It's not frowned upon, but most Bungie employees are generally pretty busy with their specific jobs. Actually, I think the percentage of Bungie employees who post on the forums is the same as the overall percentage of Reach players who post on the forums.

I sometimes think that some members of staff look at community feedback on the go, and alter their specific jobs(within reason) on the fly.

Just my thoughts, probably not true though, but I'd like to think they are.

Interesting. I didn't think visiting the site during working hours was frowned upon.

And what percent would that be?

They have work to do, and they work with deadlines usually so if they have 4 days to get 5 days of work done, no b.net this week, but if their schedule is more relaxed (I imagine this rarely happens) then they'll be on here more. Of course after a game launch or any premiere they come here to get feedback and see whats they are doing good and what needs improvement.

If you get your work done right, I imagine they don't care how you do it.

No programmer can pick up a TV remote without thinking what it would take to add a stun gun. [...] Their motto is 'if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet

Well it would depend on their job. Nobody would think twice if achronos was on Bnet all day.

But if an engineer working with a busy team on something spent a bunch of time on here as apposed to working his team members might get peeved
