Subject: Collaborative community wish-list for new IP.

As you all know, Bungie has always been a company well connected to its fanbase/community.

While we as a community dont really have any right to ask for anything, our prayers have often been heard. (Thank you so much Bungie!)

The idea of this thread is to list the general hopes and dreams of the community, be it mutual agreements or controversial topics.

Please post your thoughts on the listed subjects (with number/paragraph) and add new ones you can think of. :)

1) MMO? WOW in space?

a) There have been rumors of the new project being an MMO-based multi-platform game. It seems some are anxious to see if Bungie can make it into a completely different tier of the game-industry, But mostly we have faith in their ability to create new worlds and stories. Obviously there will be more to it than just a sci-fi version of WOW.
We hope the gameplay mechanics will be as revolutionary as Halo once was.

b) MMO might actually be a very good idea. The protagonist of the future is player-generated. (They cant make another MC right?)

c) The faction theory. (what are your thoughts?)

2) FPS? RTS? Side scroller?

a) Many people here on the forums talk of how Bungie has now locked themselves to the FPS genre, and how this is a good/bad thing. I think we(most of us) expect something remotely similar to the Halo experience, be it the camera perspective or the gameplay formula (i.e. grenade/weapon/melee triangle).

Regardless of what the story is, people will probably (most likely) be disappointed if the new project turns out to be a third-person point-and-click game.

With that being said, none of us can judge it before we se it.

b) The subject of MMO has allready become controversial. Some people wish for an "epic campaign" whilst some vote "pure mmo". It will be iteresting to see how bungie makes its way past this, since combinations of the two often flop. (i.e. Age of Conan)

3) Story and setting

a) As we have seen, Bungie is more than capable of creating rich new universes with compelling stories, regardless of what setting it is in. While some claim to expect a new sci-fi, I think its safe to say we as a community would also welcome something new. A new visual style in a new genre, or a space-opera still, we approve.

4) Armor Lock

a) Never again. Please.

5) Technology

a) dedicated Bungie servers, on which you can be in the same matchmaking game (or Destiny's equivalent to matchmaking) as, say, 2 players playing the PS3 version and 1 player playing the PC version. And, if they could get voice chat to work cross platform over the internetz

An epic campaign. That'll be the only reason to rent future games. There's no room in my budget for XBL.

Actually, I find that I'm more invincible without pants, which is why I am not wearing any at the moment.

On the flip side, I'd like a game that has no campaign, just multiplayer. Especially fi the rumors are true and its a MMO.

Multiplayer and campaign co-op that goes cross platform.

By that I mean dedicated Bungie servers, on which you can be in the same matchmaking game (or Destiny's equivalent to matchmaking) as, say, 2 players playing the PS3 version and 1 player playing the PC version. And, if they could get voice chat to work cross platform over the internetz, the following would happen.

1. I would love them forever (again).

2. They would win at life.

3. They would revolutionize gaming yet again.

4. They would be gettin' maaad moniez.

5. They would get a larger userbase, which is directly relative to how much mad moneez you can haz.

It might be a little late for a wish list. I wouldn't doubt it if their new project is at least halfway done.

You never know when things could change. Hell, Halo: CE was going to be an RTS. :P
