Subject: Will Bungie's partnership with Activision bring CoD fans here?

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

I'm hoping for some Pitfall fans.

:D
Pitfall is the hardest game in the world. I love it.

For those looking to vent, get proper advice, or give it to those in need.

Given the tens of millions that buy Call of Duty each year I'm going to go out on a limb and say there are already a lot of Call of Duty fans with Bnet accounts.

I think OP means will it bring in lots of the immature kids who are known for dominating CoD games.

Oh please. Not more. We already have enough of that.

I heard some people on the flood talking about that, its one of the reasons I don't like going there along with the complete randomness of it.

There are plenty of people who are fans of both halo and cod. If the partnership brings some cod fans here so be it.Everybody in these forums is a gamer. Fellow gamers shouldn't feel excluded jsut because they aren't hardcore halo fans.

Atleast its not the Reach forum.

I don't really think so. I mean, Activision is just the publisher of Bungie's future games. Fans of CoD could be fans of the new games, in which case some might come here.

But there are already people who like CoD here. You don't have to like only Halo or only CoD. You can be a fan of both. And we already have plenty of those people.

On the topic of people who are CoD fans, will come for future Bungie games, and bash Halo fans that are still here...well, that already happens anyway.

Any true fan of Halo is not a fan of CoD

Could you be more ignorant?

Watch This.

There is a chance of it happening but it probably won't bring to many CoD lovers here.

The thing about this scenario is, they would only come if Bungie made a really good game. But if they came, it would be bad. But if it was a bad game, that would be bad. But the lack of CoD kids would be good.

i don't care as long as they don't troll the people who were here first.

How far back did you go?! This was on at least page 30!

  • 08.18.2011 11:06 PM PDT

Was it really? I wasn't paying attention to the page numbers.

  • 08.18.2011 11:07 PM PDT

Wake me, when you need me.

It astounds me how people can only pick "one". Why can't you guys like "both"?

What are we supposed to be discussing here?

"Nothing in the 'Verse can stop me."

If that is your logic then the CoD forums should have received a lot of Diablo and WoW fans meaning we should see an influx of those as well as CoD, Guitar Hero, and Tony Hawk fans because of it.

Honestly though, if a CoD fan or Blizzard Activision fan doesn't like Bungie to start with then there is no reason why BA being Bungie's publisher would change that.

I don't see any reason why Bungie's partnership with Activision would bring more COD fans to this website.

If they did come here, it would only be to troll about how CoD is a serene gift from Gods own teats, and to tell us that Halo and Bungie suck.

Probably, that's what would happen.

You are a wise, wise person.

I love my 360's much, much more than any PS3 I've ever owned. I've tried both systems extensively, and I have to say that I think that despite being almost identical in performance, I think that the 360 is a far superior machine just from the ease of the user interface.

If given a choice, I'll take a 360 over a PS3 any day.

  • 08.19.2011 3:49 AM PDT

Almost a ghost.

The difference between Halo fans and CoD fans is that most Halo fans eventually become Bungie fans, whereas I've never met an Infinity Ward/Activison/Treyarch fan.

So yeah, maybe if it was the other way round this would happen.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that there are people with more than one interest. They walk among us already.

As for an "influx," I really doubt that. I'm sure there are plenty of places to discuss CoD elsewhere, and there's not a whole lot of incentive to talk about it here since people here are far more likely to talk about Halo. If you want to talk about Halo, then go to forums that talk about Halo. If you want to talk about CoD, go to forums that talk about CoD.

Even more importantly, why care if there are some fans of another game on here? My gamertag shows that I've played 64 different games, and I'd call myself a "fan" of a bunch of them, but I assure you, I haven't picked up any forum-transimittable diseases from any of them. We can coexist.

CoD forums.

And I believe 70% of Reach fanboys have migrated to waypoint.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

What kind of logic is that? It depends if they like the particular game as to whether they join the community.
