You can find servers with players on it and just join. It's not the same as Halo 2 Xbox matchmaking, you pick a server and join the game. The player count currently hovers around 50-75 at any time at best, most of the time the maps are lockout or coagulation. Enjoy..

This game is trash. It has compatibility issues with almost everything. Using a controler gives people the massive amount of aim assist that made the Xbox version so bad. No more than 50 players online at a time. Literaly no skill gap. Half the players online have "Walmart connection" and lag across the map as if they had a teleporter on their back. Also, the map editor is not worth the space it takes up on the disk.

I barely have anything downloaded on my computer, so i wouldn't worry about space, my compter is brand new. But anyway all I do is sit around here and get trolled all day. Would it be funner to play Halo 2 or Halo 1 online instead of talking to people on here? And which Halo is better multiplayer, and which halo has a funner campaign. I had Halo 2 for xbox but i only playe the first two missions so im not sure about the campaign.

Halo 1 by far had a more fun campaign. Halo 2 had 15 twenty minute long levels with the same boring stuff over and over again. Halo 1 had 10 levels that takes about 7 - 9 hours to beat on one playthrough. Legendary takes about a month. lol

Multiplayer in Halo 1 is A LOT more competitive than Halo 2. Either you suck miserably at the game or you are good at it.

Halo 2 was built for noobs, by noobs (Bungie's new staff they got after Halo 1), and basicly tossed anything that could be described as competitive into a giant trash can. BR spam, camping, power weapons, and MASSIVE amounts of aim assist. Most people who play Halo 2 are little kids with no attention span and the intelligence of an ant.

In Halo 1 multiplayer, the pistol can kill very fast, but only in the hands of someone that can actualy aim. Unlike the BR, it has no aim assist (along with all the other weapons in the game), minimal bullet magnetism, and you actualy have to aim ahead of your target.

Halo 2 = noobified
Halo 1 = epic

The only downside to Halo CE is the horrible netcode where you actually have to shoot a spartan's model ahead of the target to actually hit them thanks to M$ wanting to support Dial up connections. If you can master that, it's no different from a regular game, however admitted it does feel weird shooting at air and not an actual player model.

Actualy (for me atleast) this only happens if pings are above 50 or so. If they are in the 30's (mine rarely goes above 40) then you can aim at the actual player and usualy hit. It all depends on how good the server is, the ping of the players, and how much stuff on the map that might be lagging some players. (alot of blood or a massive pile of bodies might cause lag for everyone)

Make sure that if you have a modern graphics card (basicly anything newer than what was used on the xbox) then you have enough ram and processing power to compensate for any compatibility issues. Modern graphics cards try to load the blood and bullet holes in Halo 1 with way more detail then they actualy have. In some cases this can cause your framerate to drop considerably.

However, you could disable decals in the game's video settings. Blood and bullet holes will not load so that should fix any problems you might have. If your computer has enough ram and processing power then you won't need to do this.

(I have 12 GB of ram, which is enough, and a 4 core processor. Usualy the game runs fine, but when there is tons of blood from multiplayer, or campaign, my framerate can drop from the usual 60 to around 40. It makes me mad lol.)

If your computer can handle it, you might want to check out this guide for enhanced graphics.

I'm disappointed that nobody saw fit to make a witty reply to this. The title was perfect for it.

(Yep, this is meta.)

How can we answer if you can make friends? That's a personal problem.

Was that pointed towards me? I'm just having a good laugh. xD Hoping that possibly Btcc22 might be satisfied with it. :P

By the way, yes, I do have friends, thank you. Had an amazing LAN Party with them a few days ago. (Yes, I'm a geek, but that has nothing to do with if I have friends or not. xD)

... That wasn't exactly called for, and I was saying that just in case it was towards me. Your post was directly after mine and pertaining towards the precise subject.

Chill out a little bit. No need to react in such a manner.
