Subject: How did you visualise the Domain?

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I've never really been able to create a proper image of the Domain because I don't think it was ever really described. Cryptum states that dreams of early Forerunners accessed the "ground" that the Domain is built upon, is that implying that the Domain could be like an alternate world or middleground like the internet but physically around us? It makes me picture the Pulse Vestige from FFXIII, an almost never-ending place if you look down with millions of structures.

But that's just my interpretation, thoughts?

We should know better, because we are better.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say there is a lot of -blam!-. Forerunners are people too. ;p

Joking aside, I think it would look like a big mass of colour, shifting endlessly and never acquiring a true "form" or appearance.

The Pulse Vestige was awesome.

It could be like Caprica's V-world.

It looked very sexy, indeed.

It could be like Caprica's V-world.

I don't watch BSG so I wouldn't know what that is. :P

I love BSG, but... I still have not read Cryptum, should I?

Yes, you most definitely should. In my opinion, it's the best Halo novel.

I just pictured pretty much a wide, endless plain that was in shades of black and white and pretty much completely featureless.

Not from BSG, but it's spinoff, Caprica.
I thought the V-World was very unique, how it was all in grey/brown shades. Gave me a very post-apocalypse feel. Of course, that was just a small part of it.

If by implying that Scotland is a source of unimaginable knowledge like the Forerunner's domain, then yes.

;)

I withdraw my statement due to it being utter rubbish. :P

I'm part Scottish too, Coma. ;)

"but you already knew that, I mean, how couldn't you?

I figured it was some sort of shared subconscious, that higher rate Forerunner could access at will to communicate and gain information. Hence the dream reference, I would imagine it would be a bit like memories, not full VR, but other people's memories too.

As to Scotland being a featureless plain.... We have mountains boy! And hills, and lochs....

Unless you were talking about Aberdeen, in which case I completely agree.

That's pretty interesting, so you access it and it looks similar to the Intersect from Chuck with all the images flashing like memories.

Aberdeen, oh god! I'm glad I spent some of my upbringing in Glasgow rather than that dung heap. :P

See you on the battlefield.

It's like a telepathic Internet. BMEL seems to use it in a similar fashion to how we use Google or Wikipedia.
