Edit: Lol nope

People then use URL shortening sites and redirector sites to post them.

Problem not solved.

Personally, I think that addresses such as "http://*tinyurl.com/*" should be disallowed.

Alternatively, don't click them.

Or, you know, just don't click suspicious links until another member confirms that it is safe.

It is just you. This does have to do with the community therefore it should go into the Community forum.

http://someurlshorteningsite.com/blahblahblah is not the same as http://someurlshorteningsite.com/blahblahblahblah

Blacklist based on the entire URL, not just the domain.

I hate you unless I'm drunk.

If someone used say, tinyurl, that lead to google.

And someone else, did the same thing.

Would tinyurl generate the same link for both people?

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

There are just too many shock sites to block.
And there will always be created new ones.
Here are a few.

I think that -blam!- (a party with lemons) is already blocked.

Tinyurl clears their stuff if a link is not activated within a week of the last time its used.

Lets say you ban someone for a url that led to a shock site and then add that tinyurl link to the list.

Now lets say 2 weeks later after the link has been purged from their system i use the feature cause i was posting somewhere in the forums an image that was on topic and i use tinyurl and they give me that link to use.

Just do the math from there.

You add the url to the list and when the link was purged in the first place then it will be impossible for someone else to use it when its legit. Then someone has to go in and remove the links from the filter from being used.

I support this idea.

It won't fix the problem, but it will help.
