Subject: So in the vidoc...

Bungie's spirit has always been in an independent company but sometimes you have to give up the things you love to be successful as a company. Though once Halo was created they realized it was the right direction and becoming an independent company is what they have wanted for a very long time because they know they work best when they gamble on something.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

I'm just glad that we'll finally be able to get shirts with the actual names of the games printed on them.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I love the Xbox, but knowing Microsoft made it makes me sick. Bungie made a great decision by splitting with them.

It's a shame it is against the rules to call you out on your rank, seeing as how the level you play at greatly affects the opinions you hold (on gameplay). Generally, if you are bad - Your opinions are wrong, and your argument is invalid.

GG

Well for one thing Reach was definitely not what I would call a satisfactory finish to Bungie's Halo. But that's neither here nor there.

Rather... way to completely misinterpret the video.

The smiling ex-Creative Director is Jordan. He wrote ilovebees (among dozens of other really kick ass things) and he is still one of the studio's best friends.

:)

Oh...wow...really?

Um...gosh I kinda feel like a jerk now....

My bad. I mean, I must have really misread him. The vibe I got from you guys in the vidoc is that you wanted real freedom. I felt like that guy was smiling at the fact that you all needed Microsoft's help to make Halo possible...like one of those greedy corporate businessmen that steals good ideas because he knows the little guy with the ideas couldn't afford to make the ideas part of reality.

Um...but wow...I feel really dumb now. I mean, you guys were with them for a good decade so I mean yal know better than anyone how they are. And I agree with alot of the others on this site. Without Microsoft, Halo might have never happened.

I just got a bad vibe from him. I could see he appreciated the ideas you guys had, but during the whole "selling your souls to the devil" thing, when he smiled, I was just tipped off a bit. I saw him as "the man" you guys wanted to stick "it" to.

By the way, the vidoc was very well made. I was glued to the screen throughout, and the backstory behind your company was suprising and interesting.

I'm gonna go edit my Op now...

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

yeah I thought he seemed OK, I like how he joked about setting up this office for Bungie and they all hated it so started tearing down the walls, he seemed nice.

I though Bunige ended their "Halo day's" at a pretty good time. Eventualy Halo will be milked out, so I am quite excited about what's to come.

I don't understand all the Microsoft hate in this thread. They definitely do things that piss off a lot of people myself included, but they gave Bungie a huge opportunity to succeed. Can you imagine how the Halo series would have played out if Rockstar remained their publisher?

Ed Fries seemed like a cool guy too.

*Thinks about Rockstar being the original publisher for all of Halo... shudders uncontrollably*

The thought is frightening. Bungie might never have been able to do anything that they wanted...
