Halo 2 for Life!

it lacked speed enhancements that were present in halo 2 through button combos and didn't flow or gel in key areas of game play which caused a dis-pleasure for me.

also lack of map exploring ability made it un-fun for me as well

i.e. sword lunging, launching, super bouncing, sword canceling, specter climbing, and butterflying.

what does the halo 3 community think of it's lack of ability to explore, move, slow downs of game play (bubble shield, regeneration), and lack of speed enhancements by means of button combos?

Also I think adopting the xbl format for friends lists and communication was also a very poor choice as xbl comm. was and still is terrible compared to h2 ways of communicating and organizing ways to communicate and interact.

I think one thing that really annoyed me in h3 and hreach was the slow sniper/br just annoying to wait to see if what i was doing was working or not and by the time the slowness happened it was over.

Also the lag prevention measures were removed causing btb to suck massively. lag preventions in h2 were larger hit boxes and aim assist.

if you dis-agree with what I say then tell me why h3 was so slow in gameplay and annoying to play.

Things that I dislike about Halo 3:

-friendly AI
-lack of control

i.e. 2 Hornets on The Covenant at Journey's End are scripted to fly away from you. While at first, this is not a problem, it becomes a problem when they fly into the death barrier. Same thing with Ghost drivers on the same level. In their attempts to get away with you, they boost, crashing into the wall, splattering allies, going off cliffs, which makes me suspect that it's not AI intelligence but AI following a command (kinda like how they dive from fuel rod guns and grenades, when they see it coming and when it's close to them)

i.e. invisible barriers being placed lower

i.e. being splattered by any scenery unsuspectingly

i.e. pelican on Sierra 117 steals kills and slaughters indiscriminately

-cheap stuff (i.e. Chieftain's can't be stuck with grenades. But this is not a big deal since you can stick their weapons). Reach had it worse, especially with the Jackals.

-slow Chief, fast enemies. Jackals dive fast, same thing with Grunts. The velocity is faster than Zealot leaps. The Brutes and Hunters seem to be the only ones who have reasonable movement.

But Halo 3 is better than Reach, which had all of these plus more.

Blah blah blah

A Halo CE purist would argue the same thing about Halo 2. Halo 2 was VERY different from Halo.

I run Skirmish!!!

1) Button combos were fun for some but really lame for others so that needed to be taken out
2) the superbouncing, sword cancelling, sword flying, launching were really fun in halo 2, i did it all the time, but it needed to be taken out as well in halo 3.
--There were alot of complaints about the above ^^ things and it made the game really hard to play for newer players when someone like myself would superbounce out of turf with a sniper and pick them off.
believe me, i had a blast learning all the bounces and glitches. I spent countless hours doing that in H2

-- Halo 3 needed to be cleaned up of these glitches to make the game more smooth.
ex: could you imagine how annoying that would be if someone could superbounce on top of camo on the pit and hide after getting a lead.. that would ruin the game for alot of people

3) I will agree about the communication for party systems and BTB, the party system fails half the time and is slow, pressing a button to chat or make call outs in BTB is annoying..

--but once again, microsoft was changing, the 360 had a dashboard system not present on the original xbox and this needed to be updated with the so called "party and friends list system"

4) I actually liked the halo 3 sniper from the halo 2 one, it required more skill to use because it was harder to aim with.. The BR however was better in halo 2, shot better and felt better so i will agree with you there...

5) aim assist needed to be taken out, that's more like old school fps imo
