After watching the ViDoc, I took some time to go through it and notice the little things.

Bungie's next game might have something to do with a sword.

If you look in the image here, you'll notice a sword in the background next to the speaker.

Now look here. The sword and 7 image only appears on the sign-up page of Bungie.net.

Another look:

http://www.bungie.net/images/registration/icon_sword7.png

The swords can also been seen on Bungie's logo here.

Thoughts?

Subject: Possible hint at Bungie's next game.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Myth?

Myth?

Before recently, the sword images never existed on Bungie. So I don't think it has to do with Myth.

Why would they reference Myth in one inconspicuous place? (Sign up form), and why include only Myth on their logo?

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

I think your looking to far into it. I believe Bungies next title is going to stay true to a sci fi futuristic age, but what do i know maybe the swords are important.

Swords are pretty cool... but you got me with the sword in the recording studio haha.

Myth is their only game that had swords like that.

(Like the Beserks).

I know, but "Why would they reference myth in places like that"?

I am the dark shadow haunting and lunking in the corner of your basement visiting B.net and asking for chocolate.

I have a feeling that the sword images are more related to the Bungie coat of arms rather than their next game.

I'd adore a sci-fi with swords. That would be incredible. I'm actually writing a sci-fi with swords 'n' magic 'n' aliens 'n' stuff. Yeah.

But seriously, I'm not sure what it could represent. Perhaps the sword is the symbol of a faction in the new game universe?

Dune is set God only knows how far into the future, but they have swords.

This is about right.
And i'd be willing to bet an exorbitant sum of cash that Marty is just going for some new aged funk-shui thing.

I heard all the Newbies got wooden swords this year as a celebration. Are they sexy?

They are very cool, but there has been a small rise in head trauma during design meetings ever since.

Perhaps you should give the Grizzled Ancients laser guns to...um...even things out?

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

I broke one of the cords for my X11s because I couldn't get past the final American course in Doritos Crash Course.

Well there have been references to swords in alot of Bungies game. Mainly the AI's 'Cortana' and 'Durendal' which is related to Greek Mythology, there is a third sword called 'Joyeuse' which may or may not be mentioned in the new IP.

Cortana 5 has a monster thread on it
