Personally, I'm more a Campaign fan, than I am Multiplayer fan. I loved the Campaign of the original, and it's truly exciting to see the changes, in terms of visuals, it has gone through. It may just be presentation, but it goes a long way when the developer puts a lot of effort into it. It almost becomes a different, but yet familiar, experience. Going through each stage of the Campaign will feel new again, because of the impressive graphics engine that brings each environment to life far beyond its 2001 counterpart. Not only that, but the addition of much improved Terminals is a big draw for those who love the fiction; and skulls and achievements add a lot of incentive and fresh experiences to the game, as well.
In terms of the MP, however, as the poster above said, the TU update is a big part of the whole anniversary package. Said update will contain big changes in order to bring back MP experiences more akin to the past Halo games.
I'm happy they didn't just bring it back with online play (though Frankie stresses that it wouldn't be the game you remembered), or a basic HD upgrade.
