Ever since I cleared my browsing history, cookies and all that, I keep clicking on "Save my Email" while I'm logging in but it will NOT save next time I try to log in.

Now, I'm not stupid enough to save my password, but my email is very long, and when Bungie.net refuses to save my email, there's also no Google Chrome auto-fill for it, so I pretty much have no choice. Yeah, it sounds lazy, but I sign into Bungie.net nearly 5 times a day, so I feel like I deserve to be lazy.

Basically, the option when I log in keeps resetting to "Do not save my email or password".

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

I wouldn't blame Bungie.net; it's obviously something wrong with your browser's settings. Is it set to clear your cache and form data upon exit of the program?

I'm not blaming them, just saying that something is causing it to not save.

Most likely a browser issue. It's good to put in your address a lot, you might forget it!

No, that's unchecked.

Same thing happens to me. Which is weird 'cause it used to be just fine until here recently with all of the updates. -_-

Maybe the updates messed mine up as well, that's exactly when it stopped working for me.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

Maybe it's a temporary thing, if it's happening to two off you, are you both using the same browser?

  • 08.07.2011 2:52 PM PDT

Firefox 5.0

  • 08.07.2011 3:35 PM PDT

This was happening to me as well, and I figured out it would happen after I would look at my hotmail account and then sign out. It seems the more up-to-date WLID sites (hotmail, xbox) don't even offer the ability to save the email address anymore, so they probably also clear any saved email addresses when you log out of them.

I'm using Chrome, never had a problem before lately.

I don't use Hotmail, and the only other WLID sites I go to is Xbox.com (with the exception of Gear's website and maybe some others not often). I never manually sign out, and even if I have, this hasn't happened. I think it would have to be something with B.net, but I haven't payed attention to it with Xbox.com, since I usually always sign into B.net BEFORE opening Xbox.com.

The Gunman Division: Ace Gunman, xOmega Gunmanx, JT Gunman, xLost Gunmanx, (Op) Lone Gunman, Spade Gunman, Viper Gunman, Ysuran Gunman, BlindfireGunman, Angel, briskit1, dinjitsu2222, and Onobono. No idiots, please!

I've been having no issues with it saving my email address. The only time it clears for me is when I clear Chrome's cache and cookies (like once a week).

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I think if you use any other sites that use WLID in their login criteria it causes problems. For example if you go to 343i's forums and back here wacky things can happen.

Live a little.

PyroSnip3 - Xbox Live Gamertag

I've done exactly this recently and I have to keep typing in my E-mail too, I don't mind that much but it would be easier not to type it in. Thank god it's not only just me though!

Another idea you might want to try is saving your email and your password if you want at, the hotmail login website :)

Well, the reason I hate re-typing my email in, isn't just laziness, it's the fact that I SHOULDN'T have to. It's SUPPOSED to save, and by saving my email, it saves valuable time in my puny life, just an issue I have. If something doesn't work and it should, why should have to work harder to make it work? IT SHOULD WORK in the first place!

Maybe it's sad, but I spite it's failure.

I think this a problem with Windows Live, not Bungie. Instead of blaming stosh, let's scapegoat an employee from Microsoft.

  • 08.07.2011 9:36 PM PDT

I have all my passwords stored in my Norton account as I have my browser cookies cleared every day, which would delete the password even if you tell it to "save". So just set up your browser to where it doesn't delete logins.
