Let me hear your ideas on how much America impacted the UNSC military.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Halo came out in 2001 in which the world was a little different. Even though I was a little kid back then I'd thought the UN was going bring everyone together, eventually.

If the UN did bring us all together, America (as the most powerful nation) would have the greatest influence. America dominate the space market (with NASA) and have the most powerful military on the planet. It's important to note just how interlinked those two factors are, with surveillance satellites being a good example.

I would guess that world began to adopt American values with the UN overseeing this and with the knowledge that there was other life in the universe, Earth became more like a nation in a continent rather than a grouping of nations. As such, the American military style (as the most effective) was adopted as the UN military style (but in space to make it the UNSC).

TLDR: America is a powerful nation.

Or perhaps it's simply because Bungie are from the US.

"Were it so easy..."

Not sure how commonly known this is but alot of military terminology, rank, file, and structure has actually been the same, or extremely similar for most, if not all nations since before the Roman Empire.

So... Yeah. The US isn't what impacts it, human military history in general does.

Yea I never really thought about it that much, but there aren't too many nationalitites represented in the personel from the Halo games.

I've seen Australian, North American, Mexican, and perhaps a few Asian soldiers while playing.

I've never seen a UNSC soldier shout "Allah Akbar," spark up two plasma grenades and start charging at the enemy.

Probably because that would be the height of bad taste?

Your joke isn't very funny mate.

NK is probably going to nuke themselves soon.

China... yeah, China will be a problem.

The Middle Eastern countries will just be content to squabble among themselves.
