For one simple reason

1: Johnson is a main story character, face it.

3. Boren's Syndrome reinforces neural pathways and gives the victim a kind of "regeneration" ability but at the cost of a slow, painful death.

Where is it mentioned that Borens Syndrome gives the victim a kind of regeneration? Johnson got regenerative abilities from the Floods failed attempt to infect him.

4. This explains why there are no flood hunters. "FUEL ROD GUN ON THE ARM!!!"

It takes more than Borens Syndrome to become resistant to the flood. Johnson's medical condition was unique, and it may be impossible to replicate. The Hunters can't get taken over by the flood because they are colonies of worms, and they lack the necessary calcium stores.

read the halo books you'll get all three from ottakas for £17. he finds this crate of plasma grenades. he uses all of them against the covenant, gets a medal and a 20,0000 acculimative rad dosage for an added bonus. he refuses treatment as he wants to get back and fight. the flod, (flod!) force a match with the hosts nervous system. johnsons nervous system was so muddled up that the flod couldn't force a match

Im sorry but if you finish the maw on legendary you see johnson with an elite in the last cutscence, Johnson says, "well i guess this is it" or something along those lines and then says, "Hold me" and BOOM! Halo dies along with the flood the Autumn and any remaining covenant forces, so if johnson survives that then the floods like a ravid peanut attacking him. It doesn't make ANY sense whatsoever, unless something in the books explains his survival of halos destruction? Does it?

I know it's off topic, but this statement raises a new question, what is the Flood Juggernaut made of.

Grunts=Carriers
Elites=Combat Forms
Marines=Combat Forms
Combat Forms= Carrier Forms
Jackals= Carrier Forms

Drones I know definently know can not turn into Flood because, they are also part Flood, for some unknown reason. I not 100% sure with this but I've heard it before.

The "secret" ending of the maw was not intended as part of the storyline. There. Happy? The books however, are.

"Okay, I'm pretty sure you're young because of you're grammar mistakes and you are very exite-able.
Now, I will clear it all up, he means INVINCABLE"

Ahhh, the irony :)

You can actually kill Johnson in Halo 2 - he dies as a result of a 10 foot drop, but it requires taking him on a litte detour on the back of a Spectre ;)

As I read from some of the Halo Graphic Novel descriptions, it's explained in there. Has anyone got it yet? I tried to buy it from some site but, alas, it was sold out

yeah, i know, the borings syndrome and the dead flood cells. but how DID he survive? after he pulled the flood off him, wouldn't the combat forms kill him? did he just walk around with the flood until he got picked up by the pelican? and remember how the flood infect already infected combat forms? wouldn't they just keep trying to infect him? wouldn't they all mass together and kill him? someone explain that
How did Chief get out? He fought his way out. That's what Johnson did..

I would guess Ackerson picked him up afterwards, and shoved him on a Pelican with Haverson, Polaski, and the ODST before he left in a Prowler with his S-IIIs...

It was the First Strike because when Master chief was in the drifting longsword cortana found three cryopods drifting in space and one of them had sergeant johnson in it and when chief woke him up all he could remember was being attacked by the flood.

The Flood didn't infect Johnson because i think in one of the Halo novels he got a rare medical case called Boren's sydrome from a crate of plasma that did something to his neural network or something like that. Because of Boren's syndrome the flood weren't to infect him because of his condition. He escaped halo on a pelican with some other marines. In halo 2 it was deemed classified by johnson and kept secret by the Master Chief. I found all of this out on Wikipedia.

Im not sure if someone already said this, in 343 guilty spark, when you escape with all the marines, I think sometimes, you may see sargeant johnson with the surviving marines, other than that, if you want to know how he survived, read the halo novels.

You think it got what it takes to be..?.

God forbid you send me one of those I was checking for cool gamers and saw you messages too, I will scream to the top of my lungs and smash this damn screen/BlackBerry to pieces! You've been warned -_-

I hope that explains why they can't kill him in Halo 2.

I thought I was badass because I'm immune to rust and medal.
