Well spoken.

I just hate when people are unnecessarily arrogant with criticisms. Sure, if you don't like the idea, say it. Don't call other users' suggestions "the dumbest thing you've ever heard." That sort of behavior belongs in the Reach forum.

And if you think it contributes nothing, then you can easily mental-filter it out like a Cena post. No point in getting involved in a post that you think doesn't contribute. If you take the time to challenge it, you're actually contributing/creating a disruption and potential derailment.

It's all just text and we're all just chilling. No reason for blood pressures to rise over something that can easily disappear with a click of a mouse.

Thanks Recon.

Personally, I like the way things are around here. I like that it's a free system. I like that the Mods volunteer freely, and I love the different types of people we get as a result.

Ultimately, I think the free system is best because it really shows the people who are fans and are committed to the community because they WILL put up with all of the crap that the trolls and "temporary ass faces" put out.

If you real don't like the trolls, then leave. You'll be out the same as you came in. BUT! If you really care, you will work to try and make the community a better place, even when we hit a rough patch like this.

Just a thought.

Personally, I would like to see more of the elderly and respected members offered a Moderator position. But, from other time zones and locations.

I would love to see a few Australian mods. I am from Australia and I'm always online when the site is more quiet, wish there was a bunch of respected Australians here who would get offered a position to help keep the forums clean why everyone is fast asleep.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Yeah, we all have to put up with the annoying shock site spammers/etc and they do get banned eventually.

It is a shame people have to troll and can;t have fun like the rest of us.

Being banned is not fun, m'kay.

It also is about activity.

It is nice when mods come here at certain times of the day, all the time to help enforce the site.

I think step 1 now should be isolating and finding a time when the show site spammers are most prevalent which is usually late at night.

Dude, they're volunteers. You can't really give them time slots to follow. They're on when they're on.

Pezz is from Australia, but I don't think he's active anymore.

I'm - what I call myself - a late night forum poster and I've seen threads that are against forum rules locked and trolls banned during the "late hours".

Yes but late hours for you would be something different for me. Usually when I'm online after school, there are mods online but when it get towards 7-11PM at night there is like, no one.

I understand this, I'm just saying Bungie should choose more of there staff from other parts of the world.

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

Just ignore him. He doesn't like the way you did things, and whether or not the way you did things was good or bad is obviously debatable. You'll continue to deny your rudeness and he will keep affirming it. It'a vicious cycle that probably will not end. :)

One acronym "CAPTCHA". It should be used for account creation. (Which I think WLID does when an account is created, but IDK)

But for maxium effect, a CAPTCHA should be used for each post.

Captcha's serve to stop no one but bots. The spammers are real people. Adding would only serve to annoy.

That's pretty extreme. How about for inserting links (below a certain trust level)?

Or the inability to create hyperlinks below the status of Honorable member, as prefixes are determined by how long you've gone unbanned/seriously warned. Eh? Eh?

That kind of sucks, I can't post links for a LONG time then even though I have never posted a shock site before.

This seems to punish people who shouldn't be punished.

So a default mythic like me wouldn't be able to post links? My last ban was a simple warning about 10 months ago. That's a long time to not be able to link. Although I'd go for it, I don't trust myself.

...or how about there is like two to three questions about the Halo trilogy and you must provide a valid answer?

What about down the road when Bungie releases their new IP? Some people, like PS3 players, may not know.

It also moderates a group of people in the minority (those without any title at all). And even so you could just have an honorable member or higher take a URL and hyperlink it for you. Like "blah blah blah post about something blah blah blah... and you can see a picture of it here: photohoster.com/pictureofsomething.jpg . (btw could someone Hyperlink this for me?)" if the actual clickability of your URL is that imperative. Like how people ask for people to render clips from theater.

See now, this is where bots and spammers want get in, they can easily Google it. You probably wonder 'How does that stop trolls' well, If you were a troll think about it, could you be bothered to find out questions and answers for an account when you can just find another website?
