Come on guys - it's common sense.
In most web browsers, just rolling over the link should display the URL in a corner of the page - and that's all you need to do for a quick safety check.
Furthermore - you don't have to respond to them! Don't even bother pointing out the link is bad! Act like they're not there at all. We don't need a hundred do gooders all having the same idea. If their time is being wasted, rather than yours - they'll stop.
We had this problem on a Minecraft server I frequent recently, when huge numbers of griefers made it in - having changed their default spawn to a bedrock cell, and rounding them up - we kept them trapped, and carried on killing them and having a good time, until they left - having wasted no one's time but their own.
It will be exactly the same here - when people stop whining about the problem in hand, and treat it like it's not a problem, the people behind this will stop, because they realise they aren't doing anything to the site and people don't care.
It's not rocket science guys. Just start using your heads and listening.
-K-Not to shoot you in the balls here but 80% of members here leave all that crap at the door. Complainers gonna complain. Read my long post a few posts up. And the people who do that are just going to carry on getting burned.
Rather than whining about how other people should be fixing the problems for them - it's far easier on the internet to take it into your own hands and deal with it yourself.
And in this situation, you don't even need to post.
As ancient proverb says! 'Fools learn from their own mistakes, while the wise learn from the mistakes of others.'
But right now - it seems vast numbers of people aren't even learning from their own mistakes.
It can be compared to a small child, they touch a hot pan and burn themselves - having screamed and gone to their mother to get it dealt with, she will tell them it was silly and they shouldn't do it again - but of course, the next day, they go and burn themselves on the same pan.
It's the exact same situation here - and personally - I can now understand why so many Mothers spend their lives tearing their hair out and worrying about what their kids might end up doing next.
