Just noticed a typo in that message too.
Noooooooooooo!

It was a rushed job... I don't even know what font Bungie.net uses :/

It's OK. You tried. You did better than I could have done anyways. =)

What did I do? Achronos sent me that message... He just sent me another one.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

You just photo shopped the Photoshop more to fix your miss-spelling.

Achronos never sent you a PM, it isn't funny to lie.

Well I'm glad he sent you another one to clear up that spelling error. Oh, and he also cleared up the confusion over the font he was using.

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

The safe thing to do is let the troll/spammer starve. A troll/spammer feeds off of the retaliation of another user. If people simply report the troll/spammer and not talk trash to the troll, they will loose their power and start to loose interest.

On an off-topic note, I really appreciate how actually Bungie employees, such as Achronos and Urk, communicate with the the community as best as they can and enforce a strong set off rules backed by moderators. Not many websites even come close to the standard Bnet sets.

Also, how would he know there was a typo?

There is not outbox.

Did Skibur PM Achronos over a spelling error?

Doubtful.

Interesting, Achronos is having a lot of spelling mistakes in the photoshopped PM.

The thread that was about some troll that was answered on the first page?

I think I'm merely shifting the focus from that troll onto something else.

Feel free to fire up MS Paint and have a go ;)

You can ban him for his disregard of the English language when you get full control.

On topic: Anyway... What were we talking about? Photoshop?

You know Overlord Skibur, you are not setting a good example for your subjects.

I predict many years of woe and suffering for the citizens of Bungie.net under a corrupt rule.

Appreciate the responses from Achronos and everyone else. I don't want to seem like I'm nitpicking but maybe one more thing could come of this. Instead of just hiding the offending post perhaps the post could be completely removed without a trace.

It warns you before you click to see the post?

Maybe there could be multiple options to report a post, like on xbox live when you avoid players it asks you why?

So, along with regular reports, the stuff like this would have it's own report option for inappropriate links. Then when it shows you the persons post that was reported it tells you what it was reported under.

Copy/pasta ftw.

We need a madness to the method!

How about every hyperlink has a small amount of text next to it which notes the domain the hyperlink is pointing to? For example:

Website link! (reddit.com)

  • 08.09.2011 8:53 PM PDT

He'd have instantly stopped and knelt down, one fist on the ground, hoping to be impervious to the officer's attacks. When this would have failed and he's in the back of the police car, he'd blame his predicament on his friends for not being team players.

I, for one, welcome our new Australian overlord.

That would be nice for internet explorer users or people who can;t scan over links and see the URL.

Internet explorer displays the link when moused over.

Please Achronos, if possible, make it so if you press enter more than once or twice it deletes all enters after. It's so people can't type one thing, and enter all 10,000 characters to make huge posts that you have to scroll all the way down.

The thing is, a person's first thought isn't always to look at the lower left where the link is previewed. We need to try to offer some support for the newer community members.

Agreed, also in my tiresome stupor, I entered my text in the wrong place when replying to that thread. Displaying the link when being hovered over does not solve the problem if it's not something someone recognizes.
