Just ignore it. There's no need to leave for one thread regardless of how offensive you believe it is.

Look, I, personally, am a veteran. And my youngest brother is serving as a MP in Afhghanistan right now. That thread transcends offensive.

It's extremely offensive, trust me.

Welcome to the Internet- No, Welcome to the Flood.

I've seen offensive, thanks.

I made this thread because that one has yet to be banned. That is what's offensive.

Actually, for me, the reason I'm upset is not the fact that the Ninjas aren't locking it, its that one of them (a Master Ninja i might add) is participating in it.

Doing this in a thread breaking the rules in any way shape or form and STILL not locking it is ridiculous.

Should the thread be locked? Hell yeah; it's a sensitive subject.

Should someone be banned? Nope. Not for stating an opinion of theirs.

1. I understand how to "moderator".

2. I get what they have to take into consideration when they're in charge.

3. That thread is the textbook definition of breaking a BNet Forum Rule.

4. Yoozel is posting in it without locking it.

5. He is encouraging the continued posting in a thread that is clearly breaking the rules, hence encouraging the breaking of the rules.

6. This is not how you properly "moderator".

7. He did not take into consideration any of the things you should when you are "the one in charge".

1. It's called a typo, I think you know what I meant.

2. Clearly you don't understand anything they take into consideration because if you did you wouldn't be here saying that Yoozel is pissing on the Bungie Code of Conduct.

3. If a mod has approved of its existence it is not classified as breaking a rule.

4. Not even going to answer that, just plain stupid.

5. Even worse then 4.

6. Clearly you know nothing about moderatoring.

7. Once again you don't know anything.

Posted by: Killed by Pasta
What?! So you're implying that since none of us are "in charge" that we can't discuss something that is clearly breaking the rules?

God, I hope you're trolling.

I don't remember saying that at all. I'm just simply trying to tell everyone who thinks Yoozel made an incorrect call that they shouldn't be addressing his actions to the public forums, they should be Private Messaging him.

Oh yeah also, read the forum rules.

Whatever. I've seen threads locked or less.

As I've said, this may be shoing us how the mods really feel.

I'm facebook friends with a few Army guys, both veteran and current. They all share my outrage at this. Maybe we should just leave.

Brainwashing, idiotic media: "hur dur, vido gaems cas vilenc n iz nt gud. dey ned 2 b baned."

Logic: Really? Then please explain how there's violence in third world countries. I guess they're all poor due to the large amount of video games they buy.

What's wrong with people discussing things such as this? I find it rather intellectual compared to posts about CoD vs. whatever and other pointless, generic threads.

What's wrong with it is that its against the BNet Code of Conduct. You're not allowed to discuss anything of political or religious relevance. At all. Ever. Especially a whole thread about it.

And the fact that Yoozel is encouraging it by both posting in it and not locking it is basically representative of him pissing on the Code of Conduct.

Politics is not the same as military.

The closet the thread ever came close to politics is when I described the differences of Communism and Capitalism to some kid, in which it's a form of economics so no rule has been broken.

I don't think someone should be banned. I think he should be warned (like an official moderator's warning) and the thread should be locked.

Like I said I'm more mad at Yoozel's participation.

You do notice that the majority of the users in that thread disagree with the OP, right?

Thread reported. OP, read the rules

Lol there was no moderating action, therefore there was no moderating decision. Learn the rules before quoting them.

That doesn't mean that we CAN'T discuss it in a thread.

Edit: Don't report the OP because of my views. That's unfair. If you feel the need to report someone for disagreeing with a Ninja, report me.

Live a little.

PyroSnip3 - Xbox Live Gamertag

It creates some constructive conversation, he didn't write his opinion about it, it was just a link and a quote. It's not against the Code of Conduct, just the forum rules, some threads have exceptions to forum rules in the past. I agree with BlazingAngel. It may be offensive to some people for personal reasons, but that's it, look at this situation in as a whole. It's not trying to direct it at your family or friends.

Sigh. And I quote "I'm saying if you don't understand how to moderate or what to take into consideration when you are the one in charge you best not to say anything."

Oh, and I do know the forums rules. And what you just quoted from it was from the "Banned" section. As in what to do if you want to argue a ban or have questions about it. In fact the link in parenthesis even says HOW TO APPEAL A BAN.

Exactly, I hate when people quote the rules when they don't even know them. I facepalmed.

The title of the post is not in quotes and so is represented as the OP's own opinion. May be just nit picking but still...

  • 08.09.2011 12:29 AM PDT

Posted by: Evil Alternate
I can only assume that its continued existence shows that either Bungie or Bungie's moderators agree with it.
On the terms that it is acceptable for discussion in the Flood forum, that I agree with. Whether I or any other moderator agrees with its content is irrelevant, and locking/banning based on such things would be a blatant display of bias.

As such, I don't think there is a point to this thread other than to "report it" or something. So just learn to ignore and/or report content you think is inappropriate, but the former is what I suggest you do.

  • 08.09.2011 12:31 AM PDT

Dianna Agron is the epitome of perfection.

Quinntology.

There was no moderating decision here. Yoozel forgot his "duties" (I use that term loosely) and posted in a thread that should have been locked. That quote from the rules has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand. In fact, the link that is in the quote proves that.
