Clips were just a bunch of mish-mashed random stuff. No underlying theme, no artistic interpretation in the editing... It's like you recorded for an hour and spent 5 minutes putting it together. I guess that's fun? Cause it was rather boring to watch.

Music ruined it. If you chose an artist that doesn't suck, and not have used a song everyone and their mother has used in a Halo montage, the vid might have had a redeeming quality. Video's much better with the audio off.[/quote]

If I'm so bad at doing this, why don't you do better? Hm?
A Dusk Halo PC video would actually be quite enjoyable. You should do one.

I would like to see him playing Halo 2 and have comentary with him talking about how much the game sucks while at the same time owning noobs.

Why do you guys feel the need to kiss DusK's a$$ all the time? Sure, i agree with what he says for the most part, H2V a shoddy port, terrible game coding, how people think they have skill with a game with so much aim assist etc, but i don't go around acting like he's some messiah. He might as well be at this rate, or have i missed something?

That's not the point of his post. The point is that all of Dusk's posts have a very dry sort of attitude to them. To hear him reviewing a game that we all know sucks would be pretty funny.

Halo 2 was the best Halo. Disagree with me? Sure, you can disagree on the campaign, but not the multiplayer. Statistically, halo 2 had the best online multiplayer. So sure, dusk can whine about a good game, you can call it horrible, whatever, doesn't change statistics. :)

Believe it if you want to, I'm talking about for XBOXLIVE, pc online shooters are easy for pc gamers, but on xboxlive, it's very different. But yea, statistically, when it comes to xboxlive, halo 2 had the best online multiplayer.

Ah yes... Xbox Live...

The noob infested, aim assist whored, noobtacular gathering of idiots on the console that they worship and would probably marry if they could.

Go to the Halo 2 forum. I am sure Ben or Totallymassive would love to talk to you about how Halo 2 is "lik3 t0tally der best ga3m 3vaR anz it r haz der BR which iz liek soooo c000l cuz i canz haz fa3k a1mb0tz!!!111!"

Ha! You actually wanna insult xboxlive players? Xboxlive requires skill, has better connection. Xboxlive limits the player to a controller, the " aim assist" is the same on xboxlive as it is for pc, ofcourse you'd think different because you don't play xboxlive because you are too poor to afford 60$ a year. Xboxlive requires players to have a decently fair connection, unlike pc games where dial-up -blam!-s can join and -blam!- the game up for you. Pc requires no more skill then wii, seeing that all you have to do is move around your mouse/wii controller enable to pont at people. I don't like to ask the opinions of people on bungie.net, why? Because most of them blindly insult things they haven't played, you're a good example. You should play xboxlive, before you go on the forums here, complaining about it. You make yourself look like a fool because you don't know anything about what you are insulting. Good day, ignorant.

Oh and one more thing, xbl has little no hackers, pc games have aimbot -blam!-s repeatedly who ruin the game for everyone. I guess you're just pissy that you don't own an xbox huh?

I stopped reading at "Xboxlive requires skill" and then started to laugh hysterically.

PC games don't have aim assist. (unless they just happen to be realy bad ports of console games, like Halo 2, that give you aim assist that is comparable to aimbot when using a controller)

Also I do have Xbox Live. Check my Reach stats. I played a game a day or two ago. The only reason I do play it is because most of my friends do.

Someone joins with bad connection? Deal with it. It can happen on Xbox Live also.

The mouse is more accurate then the controller. You can't call us bad because of that. We don't have your aim assist. We actualy have to aim perfectly at someone to get a headshot.

You are the ignorant one. You are also very stupid. Good day, moron.

If you are reffering to Halo PC then you should know that the most recent patch (1.09 I think) disables most programs that can interact with the game. That includes aimbot. Also most dedicated servers have the ability to detect it in some way. (sightjacking is an example of this)

Like I said in my earlier post, Check my Halo Reach stats. I have an Xbox and Xbox Live so I can play with my friends who tend to play games for fun and not competitivly. Infact, you could not even call a console game competitive. The only console I can think of that you can call that are Splinter Cell Conviction (face off mode) and Rainbow Six (pretty much all the games in that series).

Ha! Yea right! Xbox and PC halo 2 have the same exact aim assist. But hey, how would you know? Judging by your Halo stats, you've NEVER PLAYED HALO 2 FOR XBOXLIVE! HA! You're talking about something you know nothing about. Xboxlive requires you to have a decently fair, dsl connection, pc games require you to use a rock as your internet, you can't sit here and tell me they are the same, because obvious logic shows they aren't, but you don't use logic, that's right, I forgot, you think you know everything about subjects you know nothing of. Furthermore, Halo for xbl hackers are almost instantly banned if they play in matchmaking servers, in pc they are not. A patch does not stop everything. Xbl is monitored, as opposed to pc's, non monitored gameplay. Your logic here is invalid, please DON'T come again. Good day -blam!- for brains.

Damn, caught my bluff. Well in all reality. I was right about everything else, connection, hackers, and I still stand firm on the aim assist thing, both pc and xbox halo 2 have the same amount of aim assist, unless you'd feel generous enough to prove otherwise, and when I say proof, I mean show video footage.

I never said that one had more aim assist than the other. The game just has a massive amount of aim assist in general. There is also bullet magnetism which causes bullets to curve slightly in order to make up for lag, and physics failures. This was origionaly in Halo 1 in small amounts. Halo 2 added even more of this. That combined with the aim assist made it pretty much unplayable for people who realise what it is actualy doing to the game.

If you wan't to talk about hackers and believe that PC games are rampant with them then you are obiously blind. Halo 2 is well known for having the most moddable and hackable multiplayer. Go to youtube and type in "Halo 2 matchmaking mods".

Bad connections exist on both console and PC games. The difference is some console games have methods of hiding the lag by spreading latency across multiple people so it affects everyone.

When I talk about Hackers, I am basing it as a whole for xboxlive, halo 2 on xboxlive (original xbox) may hackers but when I talk about hackers, I am basing it on xboxlive and pc gaming. Pc gaming is more vulnerable for advantages almost like hacking. Let's say I reskin all the players for my pc to be pink, so it's easier to see, it's an advantage, may not be hacking, but you can't do it on xbox, which just shows that xbox live is probably going to have less cheaters like that. When it comes to connection, no offense, but logic shows that if pc's allow dialup and and xbox allow DSL, then most likely xboxlive is going to have games with better connections. Sometimes latency is used for certain xbox games. But not everyone of them, so you can't hold that against xboxlive because "some" of them use it. To tell you the truth, I'd rather be slightly laggy, then have 1 player be laggy as hell, flickering everywhere across the screen, getting headshots like crazy because I can't see him. Sorry on the aim assist thing, I thought you were talking about xbl and xbl only. Halo 2 does have a bad amount of aim assist though.

Halo 2 for Xbox Live was pretty easy to cheat on. You just have to modify your .map file.

EDIT: Also, I didn't mean that Halo 2 was a terrible game. I was talking about the port. Halo 2 was pretty fun, and it added a lot of depth to the story.

Most people don't know how to do such a thing. but it's very easy for pc. That's the thing, pc gives you the ease of access as opposed to xbox's ways.

I hope Halo 4 will come out to be a great multiplayer game. I'll tell ya, halo pc's multiplayer on death canyon is one of the most funnest thing's I've done in awhile.

Err....

No, it's not. .map files are only used the way they are used for the Blam! engine. Other games you would have to edit the executable.

The main issue with xbox live games is you can hack by changing things client-sided, whereas PC games have a lot more server-sided functions going on.

I disagree. I didn't know much people back then that even messed with their xbox's. But I can mod my halo 2 for pc pretty easy. Especially when there was youtube tutorials on how-to mod your halo 2 for pc all over youtube.

  • 08.10.2011 6:28 PM PDT

I stoped reading at "but you can't do it on xbox" and I am not going to read anything after that. All you need is a transfer cable or a USB drive and you can get basic mods. If you have your computer hooked up to your xbox you can do just about anything.

The game disk itself can be altered if you put it in a computer and use a program to extract the files from an Xbox or Xbox 360 format.

You could make it so every wall on a map is transparent, people glow green, and make the level of aim assist in everything you play be infinite. That would be the same thing as aimbot, just more basic in terms of how it was made.

If you can't understand that PC games and console games are just as modable, then I really can't take you seriously on anything related to gaming.

  • 08.10.2011 6:29 PM PDT

I stopped reading at "I stopped reading at"but you can't do it for xbox"" because no where did I say that. I said back then it was much harder to do for xbox than for pc. I obviously know you CAN do it for xbox, hence the reason why I never said you couldn't, otherwise we wouldn't be having this conversation about hackers. Pc games in my opinion, are way easier to modify than xbox games. Especially now in days, you can go to prison for having mods to your xbox360, microsoft made a lesson out of a college student for that. Of course we are talking about halo 2 here, and I never said xbox wasn't modifiable, like you claim, sorry.

.......I was talking about ease of access, re-skinning, not modding in general, by ease of access, I'm talking about from the main menu. Did you not understand?

  • 08.10.2011 6:39 PM PDT

Skinning is modding. You are modifying the game. Most other mods are just as simple if not simpler as skining. Changing the numerical value of a weapon's damage requires you to hold down the 9 key for an hour. You want more health? find the number that is asigned to how much health you have, delete the current number, and hold down the 9 key. It is that simple.

The only difference is for the xbox you just need a USB drive, a cable, or a modded disk. Almost everyone has a USB drive. It is just as easy as PC modding.

That's why I said modding in general, because I was JUST talking about re-skinning. But anyways, you still need a flash drive, a modded disc, or a cord, which cost money. Showing that it is easier to mod pc games because it doesn't require something like a usb flashdrive, cord, or modded disc. Which shows pc games have somewhat, an ease of access. As opposed to xbox's needing something like a flashdrive. But when you talk about xboxlive, well modding isn't so easy, well it is, but it's not allowed in matchmaking and like I said before, Microsoft made an example of a college student for modifying his xbox360. Which doesn't happen in the pc world.

  • 08.10.2011 6:51 PM PDT

Microsoft also has a PC version of Xbox Live. Games for Windows Live has the same basic anti cheating protocals.

Games not supported by Games for Windows Live usualy have built-in anti cheating measures. If they don't then it is up to dedicated servers to be coded in a way to detect cheats. Player hosted servers have their own anticheat. You boot the cheater from the game.

For as many ways as there are to cheat on the pc, there are many more to counter them. Modding and hacking are no more common on PC games as they are on xbox. The way you do it is just different. Some people may not have a PC with the processor or RAM to use a mod (or even play the game with an FPS over 20) just as some people may not have a USB drive.

Games for windows isn't exactly the same as xboxlive. One way I know is the fact that in halo 2 for windows, I've seen hackers that fly with overshields. On xboxlive, I've never seen a hacker, not since I've owned the original xbox and had xboxlive for it. I've only came across hackers on pc games. Maybe I have an incredible spree of luck. Maybe every hacker on xbl doesn't use a mod that allows him to have aimbot, because I've literally never came acrossed anyone on xboxlive that seemed to be a hacker to me. You can mod games for windows games and you won't get in trouble, modding your xbox360 for online experiences such as matchmaking is against the law. Microsoft made this clear when they took a college student to court over it. Ofcourse I have seen videos of people modding on xboxlive for 360, even in matchmaking, but ever since original xbox came out with the xboxlive online experience, I've never met a hacker. I've met people who exploit, but that isn't hacking, I could do it too.
