Ive been reading countless threads of people hating on Reach, and then guys coming in to back Reach up, so i decided to put it to a poll to see what the majority of you think.

There will always be haters, and i too get frustrated with Reach more than Halos of old, and i know it cant be just me. Even though i still love it, i dont think its the greatest one.

What do you think?

Watch This.

It was "ok". I mean I liked it but the campaign was bad to me, aswell as every forge world map variant.

  • 08.09.2011 9:00 AM PDT

It was ok, the campaign was good, so much better then Halo3's, I hated everything about that campaign personly, the only game I've ever bought and started to play the campaign after looking forwards to it for years, to just say 'This isn't really that good' As it progressed, it only got worse, going from let down to let down. Reach however, offered more, gave a wide range of charecters, I cared for them more then 3 made me care.
I've had more fun from the halo3 multiplayer, and I play reach often, but I tend to find it more anoying with the people I'm match made with, I always seem to get the bottom of the barrel.

I voted alright, but I would say it was better than that. Something like "very good".

My main issue with the game, and it's the same issue I had with Halo 3, is that it didn't ship with enough Multiplayer maps. Invasion was supposed to be this grand new gametype, and then we only had 2 maps for it, one being Boneyard from the Beta.

That's my biggest disappointment. I would trade the Firefight maps for like 5 to 6 more MP because I can't get a 4 player party in FF without button lag. Now there are more maps because of DLC, but the majority of the playlists never use them because
not everyone downloaded them.

This could also be fixed by bringing back FF versus. I loved FF versus and it made the maps worthwhile in my opinion, but it was only up for a short period of time in a slightly broken form.

So there's my biggest gripes. As always, something could have been better :/

Compared to what you could have done in prior Halo games, compared to what you can do in Reach, Its a great Halo game, I wouldn't say its perfect but it is a great game.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

Well, I kind of agree with Bungie (they said it in the ViDoc I believe) when they say that the best Halo's are the ones that don't need the ring itself for their history, and I do like Reach more than all of the other Halo games.

  • 08.09.2011 1:36 PM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Well in the grand scope of gaming it was good, but when compared to great games it falls short.

Ignoring ODST, it was the worst Halo.

See you on the battlefield.

Could have been better, but it also could have been a lot worse. Think about how bad it would be if absolutely nothing changed from the beta.

United Armed Forces

There is no "Perfect" game, but it's the best Halo.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I would say near-perfect.

ODST was a great game... Fresh gameplay. Introduction of Firefight. FANTASTIC campaign. What's not to like?

I gaze upon the stars and see the majesty that is the universe.

EGO mos bulla astrum.

Best Halo. Only beating Halo 2 because of the graphics and custom options.

  • 08.09.2011 1:59 PM PDT

It wasn't the worst Halo but it definitely wasn't the best.

  • 08.09.2011 2:03 PM PDT

Im Canadian Eh!

Nothing can replace trying to get a level 30 in team snipers in halo 2 and knowing after you could super bounce or zombies with friends... what an epic game. If your looking for a fun and enjoyable halo game, Halo 2 gets my vote.

only the best game ever.

It's a great game in terms of all the stuff you can do, but it's a bad Halo.

  • 08.09.2011 3:00 PM PDT

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

It's definitely the worst Halo.

If I had a Rocket Launcher, I'd make somebody pay.

It was alright!

Definitely the best Halo game on paper.

Campaign was really solid, fun to play but nothing that really blew my mind gameplay or story wise. I don't get all the whining about faults in canon. To my knowledge, Bungie has never had anything to do with the books, therefore the were not forced to take all details into account when writing the story for Reach.

Multiplayer is solid as well, don't mind the armor abilities at all. A bit disappointed with the matchmaking system making it difficult to play the DLC maps though, since very few play in the DLC playlists. I kind of regret spending money on them at the moment.

Although I have never been much of a Forge-guy, this feature just crushes the one in Halo 3.

With the addition of armor customization and challenges on top of everything else, I'd say Reach is a worthy last attempt atmaking a Halo game from Bungie. Sure it's by no means a masterpiece in every aspect, but calling it bad is just silly.

I have been a halo fan from the beginning and I have to say that the best thing about reach was that bungie actually took time to think about all the previous problems with their old games, they took some of the best parts of the other halo games and made a game that in my mind is almost a stand alone game instead of it being part of the franchise it is fun to play but regardless of that, i think it barely edges out halo 2 because of the graphics engine and the overall flow of the game

This pretty much. The game is great, but it doesn't have enough maps. And because DLC isn't required the people who bought it barely get to play it. Honestly I'd say just make a few more playlists DLC required. Make at least Invasion DLC required. It needs it.

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

It's a great game but by far the worst Halo game.
