Subject: Halo 3 ODST a work of art?

3 years and only 1 ban, try harder next time noobs.

It is extremely underrated, the campaign is quite fun, I do wish there was a mode where the streets had zombies however.

I loved ODST. I like simple stories rather than huge overblown space operas (Mass Effect is the one exception) and ODST's decision to focus on a group of soldiers during the worst 24 hours of their life was perfect. Credit where credit is due to the vocal cast for injecting the characters with so much personality and charisma.

I like toast.

I know right. People say that the game was a fail but to me its actually really good. Anyway what do you expect ODST was a cover up game for bungie's Halo Reach. But I loved the campaign. And the graffics were good.

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

Never seen this many ODST lovers in one place. I liked the game a lot as a whole, the Campaign could have done much more though, more flashback missions (specially as Romeo and Mickey who only got one each) would have made me more satisfied. The lack of Elites was pretty disappointing too.

I also think the night missions were boring at the end. You only wanted to get to the next flashback. Because nothing really happened in the city. I would have loved a couple of incidents, or at least some more dialogues between the Covenant, like when the Brutes were arming the Engineer.

Death to rank junkies.

It was a great game. Easily the most underrated game of the series.

This. It wasn't the best, (1 and 2 are tied for that, in my opinion) but it's campaign was equal to Halo 3's, and at least 20 times better than anything in Reach.

I agree. It also is one of those games that has a lasting impact. I can steal hear the music playing, the noises of the city, the slightly depressing feeling of am I alone?

Very good game. A lot of people don't like it just because it had no MP support.

-_-

If it was an expansion, why would they have it's own segment in the ViDoc? If it was just an expansion, why would it have it's own forum in the GAME Forums? If it was just an expansion, why would Bungie members always refer to it as a game when talking about ODST? If it was just an expansion, why would it cost $60? Why would it have it's own case and disc? Why would it be listed under Games in the Halo section of this page?

ALSO, in the ViDoc, they said they need to make two more games. Here's a story: make it happen. One of those games was ODST.

Benjamin!

I enjoyed the time I spent on ODST, the campaign was great, bar the tedious nature of the night missions after a while. I had some fun on Firefight too, but I'd still say it was on the low end of the list for my favourite Halo game, though I appreciated it for what it was.

Like I said in a past thread, ODST is one of the best game campaigns I have ever played. Only Bioshock is above it on my list. (campaign wise)

SIGNATURE

It's in between the 1st and 2nd vote so I can't vote. It is artistic by video game standards(plus it's fun as heck), but not compared to other works of art

My other car is a hummer...

What the hell is a puma?

This is my definitely my favorite campaign in the franchise. The length of the game was really downplayed. I think I spent a good 10 hours just wandering around exploring things.

ODST was nice, but i think it was missing something. The music really added to it, scared the -blam!- outta me. I liked it, but not much replay ability
