Now that Halo has moved into the hands of 343i, is Bungie going to remain the place to unlock and control the creation of nameplates, or will this too be passing into their hands. I would have imagined that nameplate support would have gone the day 343i took control, as they directly affect Halo 3 and Halo Reach.

I assume they will stay as long as stats stay.

Who knows? We don't. Try 343i's forums.

I would hope that Bungie knows enough about their own website's fate to answer this question. Believe it or not, it is entirely possible that someone on Bungie.net knows the answer to this question, rather than the 343i forums that don't even load for me.

(They don't load for me either, but don't tell anyone.)
I don't know, the Nameplates option is still available in /Profile.aspx, so you should just change it and see if there's an effect in-game. If so, then I guess Bungie still has that power.

I will be the last thing you will see because I destroy all my enemies. I am mostly a Long Wolf type of guy but Reach is all about teamwork so keep your hopes up that you never see me in one of your games and remember...
