Good Idea, but extremely hard to do. Glitchy, hard to have AI routing.
Lol no. Look at recent info about Halo CEA, Frankie said they was able tweak something in firefight. Guess what? Flood firefight. I think that firefight forge is highly likely as seeing that 343i can do more than Bungie is capable to.
Adding flood is an entirely different process. Route-finding is difficult, especially when you've got some jerk making a giant base with fifty million turrets. With only one route in, all the AI would take one or two routes to get there. If there were immovable objects in the way, then they'd have that much of a harder time.
That brute you see knocking around that fusion coil? His AI preset that route when he spawned, and when you changed position last.
With that, it would require title update to make it work. I'm not saying it's impossible, it's just hard to do that but as seeing that Halo CEA new info came up, it's possible that 343i may have found a way to make firefight forge in future without programming nightmares.
AI is always a programming nightmare, especially with newer, more intricate games.
Don't get me wrong, i'd love this. I'd just rather them do something like this in H4, not waste time working on a firefight mode I don't play.
It's just you. There is others are still playing Firefight. Also, it's likely that they have two teams: maintaining Reach and other working on Halo 4.
Most of video game companies usually have multiple dev teams for specific roles.
