Subject: A question on the CMS of BNET

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

We have CMS?

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

I wouldn't call it "good." It is old and needs to be replaced, much like the forums.

But I wrote it (it is is custom). It runs (like everything else on bungie.net) on .NET, using ASP.NET WebForms, using C#. And we use MS SQL Server for database stuff.

Dear Mr. Giocanda, if you touch The Flood I will go to your house, burn your porno-tapes, smash your Xbox, TV, Computer, and other electronics, begin raping your cat, then set fire to your clothing and home.

You're such a tease!

On a related note, ******'s mom has really nice boobs, and it doesn't take much booze or encouragement to get her to let the puppies out of the pen...if you know what I mean...

Bungie forums are the easiest to navigate, imo.
I agree

@Helveck

Just an Average Joe...

I didn't think we were allowed to have threads in Spanish.

And urk.

Oh, and someone earlier was confusing the Content Management System (CMS) with the forums (the very heavily modified fork of a 2004-5 vintage IdealScience forum product). They're not the same.

And both are old and crusty and need replacing. Especially the CMS. The forums less so, but that's more a decision on whether to start from a clean slate or build on what's there.

I was forced into ASP.NET for a uni project, I don't know how you guys can stand it lol. Thankfully we also had C# as the back end, but I prefer working with PHP :P
