I know it was canceled, but they still plan to make a Halo movie. We just don't know when.

As popular as Halo is today, I'm suprised that there's still so many people out there who've never even heard of Halo who love sci-fi. I think about the impact Star Wars has made on the world and I wonder if the Halo movie (if done right) would have the same impact on people who don't play video games.

We all know Halo is to video games, as Star Wars is to movies, but as great as the Halo story is, it's still just a video game in the eyes and ears of people who don't like video games. It has yet to grab peoples interests outside of the gaming community, but I believe Halo deserves more.

I know a Halo movie will make an impact. I just wonder how big that impact will be. Your thoughts?

If you're saying that a Halo movie would have the impact that the Star Wars series had you're gravely mistaken.

There has to be a Halo movie for it to make an impact in the first place.

Halo could make as big an impact as Star Wars if "everything" is done right. I love Star Wars, but Star Wars was invented in the 70's and I believe Halo is the only thing in our generation that could even come close to Star Wars if it was made into a movie.

Imagine what that scene from Halo CE would look like on the big screen, when Master Chief first steps foot on Halo for the first time. Wouldn't that be epic?

I tend to be wary of adaptations of any sort, because many of them are low-quality cringe blockbusters made to make money. There are a number of exceptions, of course, but I'd still be cautious if a movie was back on track.
