Unsubstantiated claims incoming...
From what I gather from copyright law (my knowledge just pertains to music but here I'm going to apply it to writing) if you publish a piece of writing anywhere (posting counts as publishing) you are automatically granted the right to reproduce and sell that work for a period of 28 years.
On B.net it seems that Bungie does have a right to republish anything you say on here (something you agree to by making your account) but must give you credit for the work. I don't think Bungie has the right to profit in any way from your submission, nor do they have the right to keep you from profiting from it at a later date. [/end speculation]
If I were you I would post what you have written (I have before; check out my sig); I'm sure you won't suffer any negative consequences as a result.
The Short Version
Bungie controls everything. You have no rights. Play nice, don't be a jerk.
Talking about rights on this forum is pointless. You agreed to the quoted statement when you made your account. So simplistic it hurts.
If Bungie were to sell a piece of fan submitted material for profit without the consent of said fan, I'm almost positive they would be in a whole heap of legal trouble.
Nope, not at all. More stuff you agreed to in the ToU.
However, by posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting your Submission you are granting Bungie, its affiliated companies and sublicensees permission to use your Submission in connection with the operation of their businesses including, without limitation, the rights to: copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your Submission; and to publish your name in connection with your Submission.
No compensation will be paid with respect to the use of your Submission, as provided herein.
