What if the excess profits from the "Bungie Cafe" went to the Bungie Foundation?

The idea would be a welcoming place for fans and staff.

Well, as Recon said, games would have to be free. So what would they charge for?

Beverages and snacks.

I'm trying to become an '04, but it's not working too well."

Why not charge a few bucks an hour for a TV?

There used to be a pretty awesome place in my mall like that. Planet G? 5 bucks an hour for a fairly large screen. I can't remember if it was per person or not.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Right now I'm wishing I lived near Seattle...

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

But they'll let a sick child in the studio and allow the parents to record it and upload it to youtube for the world to look at. Seems like Disney World to me.

Are you really trying to use a terminally-ill child as an excuse to let you inside a game developer studio?

No, I'm just pointing out that unless you are some sick child, you aren't getting into Bungie. I think this OP is proof of that. I could give a -blam!- about going to Bungie's Studios.

Your tone of writing seemed to imply otherwise. Also it seems you do care about getting into Bungie studios to some degree.

Perhaps you shouldn't imply, then. =)

Anyways, I used to always want to go there and eventually work there. Over the years, however, I realized that Bungie isn't that type of developer to just let a fan in to show that they care. Then, I saw Gabe do all the things he does for fans. I would visit and work for Valve over Bungie any day of the week. Bungie has only disappointed me over the past years. They really are just, "guys making games", in my eyes.

I'm so sorry for your loss...

I am a Bungie fan because of what they produce. They produce artwork and has always been beautiful to me. I respect them because they do, and always have, this under their own terms, not the terms of the masses.

You have to remember that in the end, it's just a group of guys working for a company. It's an awesome company, but a company nonetheless.

That being said, if Jerome is sitting behind his desk in the lobby, and he isn't carrying the Brute hammer on him, you might just get a chance to get a look around in the lobby. Maybe you'll even get to see the swanky new toilets.

Remember, persistence is key!

EDIT2: JUST GOT BACK!

Basically, he barely acknowledged me. Which, IMO, was pretty rude. He could have at least flat out said "sorry, we are not allowed to give tours", instead of being kind of rude.

So I left disapointed.

Dissapointed, I started walking back. I saw 3 bungie employees, and asked "HEY! Do you guys work for Bungie??". One of them nodded his head and just kept walking to the door. I said "Could me and my friend please get a tour?" He just shook his head and walked into the building.

Basically, he barely acknowledged me. Which, IMO, was pretty rude. He could have at least flat out said "sorry, we are not allowed to give tours", instead of being kind of rude.

Do you actually think they have the time to give 2 randoms a tour of there studio, do you know how busy they are?

  • 08.12.2011 12:06 PM PDT

I wonder if bungie will let me get a tour of there studio it seems pretty cool.I wonder if they will give me halo 4 before it comes out to.I read some posts and people left there disapointed so i will probably be lucky if i even step foot in there.

Racism isn't wrong if it's funny.

OP, they get people like you everyday AND they have publicly addressed the fact tat they WILL NOT give you a tour if you just show up.

It's like getting asked even single day wether or not you speak english when they can clearly see that you know they do.

In short; It gets real old, real quick.

When I grow up, I want to be just like goofenhour.

I'm guessing it's just policy not to allow people looking for a tour outside the studio walls to come inside the studio. I mean this thread is a perfect example of what I am talking about.

Imagine they let you in. You come back edit this thread and say how awesome of a time you had in the studio, rather than saying you didn't get in. Word on the streets would be if you just chilled outside the Bungie Studios waiting for a Bungie employee to come in, that one of them may allow you into the studio. Meaning more people would try to bother them trying to let them in. Probably not the best idea to let random people in.

I guess that's just a policy or just common sense.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.
I have a Twitter

Its a restricted area because they're developing stuff they don't want competitors to see, if they let everyone in, someone could steal ideas, i'd rather it was like that.
