There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

When you login on Bnet, it says Microsoft Corp(US). So my question is as to whether or not it will stay Microsoft, or switch to something else.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Only they know.

No. We will each have to send in hand written letters with a vile of our blood to Bungie's headquarters, and from their they will log us in....Best not to log out with the new system if you ask me.

Leaving? i-n-g? Bungie split from Microsoft in 2007.

Well technically they're still Microsoft exclusive considering they haven't made a game for anyone else yet.

But when the next game is released multi-platform more than likely they will just add a log in for PSN alongside the Microsoft log in.

Why would it change?

You can still have your linked GT, and since they are making games for PS3 as well, they could just add a secure login button for the PSN ID peoplz.

It wouldn't be so difficult.

It's a by far an easier system to deal with or not maintain yourself, then having your own personal logon system for a massive fan base, having to worry about every last detail or issues going on with logon issues.. I am sure Bungie has something worked out with Microsoft for regards to this aspect.

Wibbly-wobbly designy-whiney stuff.

Okay, so I'm a web developer, lemme explain this. The way that Microsoft does its login services is by sending everything to its main service and then having individual sites branch off of that. So Bungie will need to get its own security, but then it'll be in its own name.

By the way, the way that Bungie will very likely shift out of MSN will be by making everyone send new passwords to the email address you've already set on Bnet. So what that means is your username, all your old posts, etc. will carry over (although Halo stats will obviously be moved completely over to Waypoint - it doesn't make any sense to do that before or after the switch). TMYK.

It would actually be very difficult, and Microsoft doesn't give out its Live logins to independent companies. So yes, they will be doing their own login system. Although I do still hope they'll also be adding in OpenID, but I doubt they'll go with that. :P

Are we talking about the logon which uses your windows live id? The logon links your account and game knowledge to your account so it can accurately follow game history which is played via x-box live.
