I agree, i'm doubting his canon status too.

I mean didn't he appeared in Halo 3 ODST when he was supposed to be in the in amber clad.

He was in the army in Reach

So yea i think he really is non canon, same with Chips Dubbo

he wasn't in reach. He's only seen as a firefight voice.
Yes he was in reach. He was included in the mission exodus.

They also use his voice for one of the Saber pilots as well.

Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

He's obviously an Android, or Clones.

He is the god of the Halo universe, he pops in and out of existence and goes with the wind.

nope sgt johnstone is THE god of halo nobody else

The only difference between them is that Sgt. Johnson died, Chips and Stacker didn't.

no jonston never dies hes imortal. he just went for a nap at the end of halo 3

Walk by faith. Dude. Not by sight.

I agree. Clones, alternate universes, and time travel explain most problems with canon.

He's been seen as a Marine, an Army Trooper, a Sabre pilot, an ODST, and as an officer of the New Mombasa Police Department. He's pretty much in every branch and detachment except.....a SPARTAN.

This is a groundbreaking discovery. Halo 4 will feature not the Chief with Cortana piggybacking in his armor, but Stacker and...Guilty Spark...or someone...I don't know, one of the crazy idiots who make the "Jun is John" threads can finish this travesty for me.

"I'm sorry but did you really mean to suck?"

but Reynolds can appear too so maybe it really was Reynolds?

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I believe canonically he does have legs, although I don't think you ever see thm.

Bungie or 343 answered this question. Basically, what they said was the characters seen throughout the game just have the same voice actor, but he's supposed to represent different characters.

"Apparently people don't like the truth, but I do like it; I like it because it upsets a lot of people. If you show them enough times that their arguments are bull-blam!-, then maybe just once, one of them will say, 'Oh! Wait a minute I was wrong.' I live for that happening. Rare, I assure you."-Lemmy of Motorhead
