Subject: Would you watch a 1 hour ViDoc JUST on Marty and the music of Halo?

"On the seventh day, god did not rest, but rather he created 64 player multiplayer!"

I was thinking about this today as I listened to the Reach soundtrack on my way to work... Wouldn't it be amazing to have a ViDoc dedicated to Marty and the music he's created? It's doesn't HAVE to be a full hour, maybe that's a little too long but, after watching Bungie's farewell ViDoc, it of course left me wanting more.

I wasn't a huge fan of the Reach music at first but as I've listened to it more and more, it has grown on me, and got me wondering about how Marty does it! I've seen all the behind the scenes stuff in previous ViDocs for Reach, for Halo 3...Halo 2, etc...but I'd love to see one completely dedicated to the music.

Anyone else?

That'd be entertaining, albeit I'm sure he's much too deep in his work for the next IP at the moment.

It would definitely be interesting. Yeah, I'd watch something like that.

smart, interesting, seems out of place.

Official fan of Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, (Problem with that?) Halo, and Bungie, also a total gaming junkie.

Yes, as he leaks Easter Eggs more than a shot up Easter Bunny.

I cap fools.

Absolutely. Halo isn't Halo without monks and violins.

  • 08.12.2011 10:52 AM PDT

Easily. Hell I'd watch a two hour Vidoc!

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Start off with a Half hour of marty playing his air violin.

Nope, that doesn't sound very interesting to me. Especially if it was an hour, that's just too long lol.

Great Scott!

I'd love it actually.

Yes, as he leaks Easter Eggs more than a shot up Easter Bunny.

Leaks just about everything.

In related news he'll apparently be at two panels at Halofest, discussing Halo type things I assume. It's not a night in with only Marty O'Donnell, but there should be quite abit of questioneering about the music there.

Totally, i'd love to see where he got his inspiration from.

Canada isn't that important that it needs two of the same threads on page one.

Hour long? No. (Even though I probably would anyways. :P)

Half hour? Definitely.

I just think talking about his music for an hour straight would get a bit tedious and perhaps boring. 30, however, would keep me at the edge of my seat.

I would, and I do believe my father would enjoy it as well.

I honestly think I could watch an hour long video on (almost) any aspect of Bungie's history.

Probably not... I think Marty does a great job with the music, but I wouldn't watch an hour long vidoc over it.

cars, girls & cake all day everyday

You want a Marty ViDoc? Hit up all of his OSTs and put them on an mp3, go outside on a starry dark night and lay out on the lawn and look at the stars while listening to the OSTs. There's your ViDoc.

Bye.

I'd love to see more of the Audio department in general. Like the Foley artists (the guys who hit cabbage with hammers to make the bone crunching sound you hear)
