As you all know Achronos wrote the new rules thread on 1/25/2011 (I think)

But remember the rules that were written by Yoozel a long time ago?

How come they were replaced?

Just wondering. And forgive me if this thread was already made some time ago.

The rules were rewritten completely, it wasn't meant to be an addition.

But why were they completely re written?
I did not see anything worth re writing in the old one.

Since you cannot do good to all, you are to pay special attention to those who, by the accidents of time, or place, or circumstances, are brought into closer connection with you.

i am not shawn from youtube, I created this username because I thought it was an unique name but if I could change it I would since it did not belong to me originally

I guess the new rules supercedes the past rules. Hence the old rules have been abrogated.

I would sugest pming a mod about this.

The old rules were very long, as I remember. Perhaps Achronos wanted to make it more brief.

Hello! I'm Bunie.net's resident medical student (hell i'm sure there are more but I'm the only one who openly declares it!) I love my emblem, and I am periodically active.

The rules were rewritten to make them less complex and more all encompassing, the new rules rely a lot more on ninja discretion.

It removed a lot of confusion.

Pretty much this, yeah. Achronos said when we had the old rules, people would just find a bunch of loopholes and stuff so it ended up being a mess These rules cover more of an area each it seems so.. he likes them more.

Remember that big thread where we basically re-wrote the rules? Epic thread.

Sorry for late response.

It was determined that we were very limited in what we could ban for. By having every single thing listed, we couldn't really expand into other areas without causing a stir, and members were frustrated because what we were banning for wasn't really listed, so everything was scrapped.

The rules were rewritten to be a smaller version of the Code of Conduct.

I was gonna say this but you beat me to it. Basically they listed more by writing less.
