I think the old gameplay is great. However a few things would have been pretty neat. Some more then others

1-Exchanging guns with marines: It wouldn't really change the game too much. I mean even if they had limits [I.E no exhanging rocket launchers]it would be cool. Having a squad of marines with pistols or snipers.

2-Driving A.I: At times seems like a bad idea. However would be interesting. They can drive ghosts in Halo, Would be cool. Yet nothing too important.

3-Marines who wont kill eachother: You all know this happend way too $R$R$ much. Marines would always spray eachother, or worse when one had a sniper and would kill a few men infront of you. Ugh.

That's it.

The thing is the new Halo games took alot of steps forward, and then took a few leaps back. These things would just be polish to an already solid gameplay design, but trying to re-invent the wheel (as Halo 2 tried and miserably failed to do) is not a good idea.

A part of me wishes that they actually reworked Halo:CE rather than made a duplicate copy of the first game. Yes CE was the best of the Halo games, but it is outdated now in several ways.

Even something as simple as skinning the God Pistol into a DMR would go a long, long way.

I just wished they made the enemies ragdoll upon death.

They're trolling her.......then they're gonna troll me.......ZOMGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!11111one!!11

The whole point of making Halo Anniversary is to just give it a graphical update. They wanted to stay true to the original gameplay as much as possible and for them to even change the littlest thing, would ruin the old experience people loved back in 2001. So no, I'm glad they aren't changing anything.

"Wake me...when you need me."

There aren't going to be many changes. There are a few content/canonical additions, but that is it.

Jesus loves you! But I think you're a -blam!-

Really? I always liked the death animations in CE a lot more than the goofy ragdoll.

I'm okay with gameplay, but would like to see different Easter Eggs in different places. I want to revisit scouring every inch of Halo looking for things nobody else has found and then rubbing everybodys face in my awesomeness.

How about optical zoom on your helmet

This x10. I always forget how amazing the zoom feature is until I can't use it. Also, I would love a scoring system OP. I play 99.9% of campaign with it on.

I don't really understand. What's outdated about it? People always use this word but never explain what they mean.

Some people associate time with improvement in game design. There are plenty of things about Halo 1 that run contradictory to modern game design standards, things which are currently seem as "common sense" design. Whether they're actually necessarily beneficial, as opposed to just qualitatively different, or even bad, is debateable.

Circle Jerkin' I got my wiener workin'

They should have just updated the multiplayer graphics just like the campaign, instead of remaking 7 maps for Reach. I am extremely disappointed by this and am not going to buy Halo CEA.

I think they should've updated the way you move. Adding a little aim assist and melee lunging.

Adding a little aim assist

Simple fix. Stop using a modern flat panel television with high input lag. Halo 1 feels extremely crisp and awesome on a TV with low input lag.

Reach, on the other hand, feels hilarious on a TV with low input lag.

-blam!- the melee lunge, one of the worst things of halo.

Adding a little aim assist

Please go to the Halo 2 forums and post that. Then you might actualy find people that agree with you.
