Subject: Bungie.net anniversary edition? What is Achronos hiding?

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

Well Achronos' 10 years at bungie.net is a few months away and it got me thinking 'What has he got planned for Bungie.net come October?' Perhaps:
- A fully re-masted forum(s)
- The return of 7 of the greatest bungie.net polls of all time including: 'Which game was most difficult on Legendary?' and 'What was your favourite Halo game?

Here is how the Advertising would go:

Ten years ago, bungie.net changed the way we viewed forums. Ten years ago, bungie.net introduced us to an incredible form of discussion amongst fellow players, and delivered billions of hours of typing and reading.
That was ten years ago......this is now
(Queue brothers in arms). The website of the decade remade and re-mastered.......combined with the classic forums enhanced and updated for internet experiences.
A fully remastered site.....new group experiences from members across the globe....and the return of seven of the best forum polls of all time....

The following is a (possible false) interview with Achronos- Thanks to Alec9224

Reporter: So what can we look forward to other than what you have already told us?
Achronos: Well, we have added a new button to the addition of the others normal members and forum ninjas can visualise. This new button will be able to switch the Bungie.net user back to classic mode, so they can still enjoy the pastime experiences they once had (and still do) on the forums

Anyway that was my idea, do you think anything particular will come round to bungie.net's 10 year anniversary?

Despite all this happy tenth anniversary Bungie.net, can't wait for the next ten

LEGAL EDIT: Brothers in Arms was used over Last Action Hero to avoid getting sued from 343 industries :p

"I will show you how a true Prussian officer fights!"

"And i will show you where the iron crosses grow..."

- "Cross of Iron"

I think this would be pretty cool.

Are we going to have a button that allows us to view the forums in "classic mode"?

Haha I'll have to add that in :]

Thy covenant has broken, thy flood is released.

Yeah I'm going with the consensus here, nothing is going to happen, anything Bungie is planning will happen at PAX.

I would like to see the 'Bungie Community' forum get switched back to 'The Septagon' at the click of a button.

I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I think we should be able to play Gnop! on Bungie.net.

Is the AI unbeatable on the game?

The community: 'Bungie.net it's finished'
Achronos: 'No, I think we are just getting started'

I can't even comprehend how stupid this is.

How would you like me to change it then?
EDIT: It has been removed. The stupidity is now reasonable

Half Man.
Half Horse.
Half Machine.
All "Jerk Who's Really Bad at Math."

PS
No, I do not want to join your clan/group.

Should screw with the users that day, imo; switch the colors and titles of Forum Ninjas, members, and Bungie employees around for a day, maybe even the entire week.

Of course, the actual ability to ban users and lock threads won't leave the real forum ninjas, but the sudden change in appearance will throw a lot of people off...and leave many of the more obnoxious users mad as hell when they find that they can't actually go on a banning spree.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

Maybe he'll nuke the Reach forum as a gift.

Relax. I'd rather not piss this thing off.

Possibly a remaster of the background and a new part of the forums?

I agree. Groups definitely need more attention.

We were somewhere around Barstow...

Achronos deserves plenty of praise for his ten years at the helm of Bungie.net

It's no coincidence that Bungie's best years have have involved him in some way. As much praise as the games get, Bnet itself has played a massive role in the success of Halo and Bungie. The stat tracking, at the time, was revolutionary and I doubt any other developer has as much traffic online as Bungie does.

Well done big man.
