Subject: Halo 2 Vista, "startup.exe" or "halo2.exe"?

Hey guys.

This question has left me confused for some time, in the Halo 2 folder, there are two executables "startup.exe" and "halo2.exe" I'm just wondering if anyone here knows the difference between them, as both run the game fine when launched.

I know that halo2.exe doesn't seem to detect missing files, (this happened when I deleted the Microsoft Games video) but startup.exe does, that's all I know.

Thanks.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Startup.exe is a launcher. It's the same program that nags about giving customer experience feedback. If you want to run the frame rate limiter program, it has to be run with Halo2.exe directly. It won't jump between processes.
