I notaced that there are Form Ninjia's and Moderators on Bungie.net. How do I Get Promoted into one of them. Or Is there such thing?

You don't. If you create a theme for groups to use and it is exepted you become a Theme Master. If you are selected to become a moderator by the moderators you become a Forum Ninja. Other than that, your stuck being a normal member.

"Whatever exists, whatever in creation exists without my knowledge exists without my consent. These anonymous creatures may seem little or nothing in the world. Yet the smallest crumb can devour us. Any smallest thing beneath yon rock out of men's knowing. Only nature can enslave man and only when the existence of each last entity is routed out and made to stand naked before him will he be properly suzerain of the earth."

My recommendation: Be an artist, be a good member, or be hired by Bungie. Other than that, there is no way (that I know of) to get out of being a normal member.

Welcome to Bungie.net. Have fun as a normal, mindless, member. Welcome #1528427.

Promoted.......

Lol.

Yeah, you don't get promoted. You get chained to a chair next to a computer where you can only view the Bungie.net site. <<< Thats when you know you are a mod.

^^ Or when you have 50 PM's per day saying that it was unfair to lock that thread and junk.

There is nothing wrong with being a normal member. You can get promotions in up to 25 groups at once. If you want promotions, join a private group.

Huzzah! There you go. No reason to want to be one, really, I wouldn't care if I was. As he said, it makes you tend to post less. And I think that's bad. GameJunkieJim actually made a thread asking for help a while back! To be "leet:" omg thatz crazy omg lol that roxorz!!!111

In addition, there probably won't be new ninjas until the next project is announced. I am more curious about a search engine and a spell check than how many ninjas there will be or who will become one.

We do, this just isn't funny.

be a good member that helps others and uses grammar and punctuation. Also, be a member for a long time and have the required knowledge of Bungie.

Aswell as some others.
Theres not much point in try, unless you have a very good relationship with the mods and you are popular among the forum.

It's simple, be a good enough member that bungie decides to enslave you and make you watch over and listen to idiots all day. You could be a pre-school teacher and do the same thing.

Another reason we tend to post less than before becoming moderators is that continuous self-censor cycle we have to plug into our posting habits... instead of being a care-free member who can post pretty much at will (without exceeding the rules, of course) a moderator has to consider whether or not a post might reflect poorly on other moderators, be mistaken as Ninja policy, or (*shudder*) get interpreted as a statement by Bungie. I've long lost count of the number of posts I didn't write for fear of creating a big problem.

-- Steve can't complain, though. Not in fairness, anyway. Being a moderator can be tough work, but it can also feel like you're pulling your fair share of the weight, too.

Well said Recon. You shouldn't be on these forums if you want to be "promoted".

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

You stalk achronos and take compromising pictures of him, then in exchange for the pictures, you get to be a mod... or you let shishka chop off 7 of your toes.

I find it a bit funny that that "self-censor cycle" seems to be shut off here in the Septagon. Quite often mods are either responsible for sending threads off-track or are guilty of aiding other members in doing so...though things tend to work out in the end. Is it the atmosphere, or something else?

Now, we were talking about something related to Bungie.net. I just can't seem to place my finger on what it was...
