So, I enabled VSYNC on Halo PC and I'm not exactly liking the results. I can definitely feel the smoother performance when it comes to looking around and such, but it seems like other players and vehicles stutter around or lag some. It's not a connection issue, either; happens in campaign, too. Is this normal?

Maybe your computer just can't handle it. It works fine for me... until blood gets all over the ground...

Blood seems to lag my computer to death for some reason.

What kind of framerate do you get without vsync turned on? Hit CTRL+F12 to enable the in-game counter.

About 80-100 FPS.

The game isn't running badly; it's just that some movements seem jittery (or maybe slower is the right word), it's odd.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

This is because the game was built to run at 30 FPS. So although the game itself is running higher than that on your system, the animations are still moving at 30 FPS. The clearest example would be watching the running animations on marines and other players in MP.

This.

The game runs at 60fps, but all stock animations (running, melees, grenade throwing) are still stuck at 30fps.

Still, you should stick to vertical sync to see as many frames as possible.
