Some things in this World you just can't explain; but that doesn't mean they are any less true, just that you have to chose to believe in them.

One, two, Pinkie's... Coming for you...
Three, four... You will breath no more...
Five, six... Gotta add it to the mix...
Seven, eight... Gonna bake cupcakes...
Nine, ten... You're my very best friend...

Hello, and thank you for clicking on this Thread.

Now, I came up with an idea. What if Bungie added a delete button to each forum? I'll explain....

Basically it's to the right of the edit button of your post. Only you can delete it (Or a Ninja), and you can only delete ONE post each page.

This will help if someone decides to change their mind on something, or double post.

And the Original post of a Thread CANNOT delete the Original post he posted, for spamming reasons.

The reason I suggest only ONE delete per page, is to prevent bumping.

Now, remember Bungie members could also see through The delete, they already do this with edits.

Very basic, nothing more I can really say about this.

So what do you think? Yes or No?

Key

This can be used to remove evidence of rule breaking.

Hence, I say... NAY!!!!

Hmm...I know why you suggested this. I love little connections like that.

Anyway, I'd say that could be abused in ways I can't think of that the Webteam probably already has.

I second this.

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.

No, why should someone who posted a shock site link be able to just delete his post after the damage is done and post it on another thread and repeat.

This idea is full of holes, and it gives the users too much power. The b.net community probably isn't ready for any addition of power.

The "edit" button works and you can make almost anything undesired "go away".

Unless the topic got locked. Then you're stuck with it.

See? I had put in "you big stupid poopie head" on the end of the last sentence and I then made it "go away".

Because Edward is nice.

It already exists for moderators. There are reasons members do not have that permission. There are reasons moderators are encouraged to edit posts instead of deleting them.

The biggest reason revolves around their overall awesomeness and amazing sense of timing and humor.

urk: "This is a bad idea."
DeeJ: "Hold still..."

No.

Purely for the damage it could cause as apposed to the good.

Anyway, the edit button is all that is really needed.

Besides:
If you think others may have a negative reaction towards one of your posts, its best not to post at all.

People already like to go around posting shock site links, then editing out the link when people quote them. This would be ten times worse.

Stupid idea.

I was young, I was surviving the times. Waiting for my moment I was destined to shine. And I seized it!

I think I get what your suggesting, but NO WAY. Take responsibility for your actions/posts. I can't take back the things I say, so you shouldn't be able to take back your keyboard-communicated stupidity.

My old Bungie.net account was created February 6, 2008. Unfortunately, I had signed up using my brother's email account (we then shared an Xbox Live account which was linked to my old Bungie.net account), and he changed the password, meaning I couldn't log in. Thus is why I have this account.

No, because once you post something to the forums, it doesn't belong to you anymore, it belongs to the community.

Plus, this would make the spamming and whatnot so much worse.

  • 08.13.2011 10:31 PM PDT

It would remove evidence for people who break the rules. Hence if the post is not reported enough it would be removed and the person would go unbanned by mods.
