Subject: The Arguement for the Sucession of The Flood

Ugh, I hate this whole "floodian" mentality.
This site is for the Bungie community. The different forums are just folders that organize the discussions held by that community. Just because a small group people think that one, self-defined "sub-community" should become independent from everything else is just stupid.

Make a private group?

There are no "leaders of the flood" or people who speak for it.

The flood is an off-topic forum. Not a real government.

In the same way that you are a phony, not the REAL tooth fairy.

Thing is OP is suggesting that they are not in anyway moderated by the Bungie staffers or ninjas at all. A completely independent group that exists within a larger group that does not have the ability to moderate the smaller group.

A group is still moderated by Bungie.net as much as the Flood would be.

"I don't care if it's God's own anti-Son of a -blam!- Machine or a giant hula-hoop!"

So...

You want the Flood to have no moderation, but still be apart of this site?

Private group.

Oh, and your request for no moderation will most likely be denied. Simply due to the fact that children frequent the site, and if there are no moderators, NSFW links will be posted like crazy.

I know I'm beating a dead horse, but also if elections were held the Floodians would be likely to elect those who provided the least moderation and so it makes their title voided upon election.

Troll confirmed. I never even insulted you

OP - You're a dumbass with the reading comprehension skills of a second grader.

Can someone tell me what's wrong with these two, this made me LOL hard.

Actually, Bungie DOES own the "floodian nation". Without the Flood Forum, the "floodian nation" would just be a public forum and you its users.

You have no idea how revolting I can be.

DeeJ's Challenge

Going off of what burrito and Duardo as well as others have said, you are essentially proposing an off-site and as discussed before, it wouldn't work out as well as the actual Flood Forum.

While you may think that your plan of having an "independent" forum within Bungie.net Public Forums is a good one, you can't just say "This one forum is 'different' than all the others and deserves special treatment." What would be the purpose of having a "Public Forum" at all?

If the Flood "seceeded" from from the moderation of the rest of Bungie.net, why wouldn't the Universe "seceed" as well? What would stop the Community Forum from "leaving"? The Bungie.net Community (all of us here on any Bungie Forum) ceases to exist.

If any aspect of your proposed "solution" were to be put into effect, the Community becomes a rivalry of seperate "states" that are no longer a single unit but the epitome of an all out war between nations.

Lionel Richie and MJ couldn't have said it anyother way: We are the World.

Nothing is said about "You're Africa and he's Asia and I'm America!" We are one operating unit and, believe it or not, we all make one another a better Community.

We should hold up in the flood and fight bungie. Alamo style.
Seems like you're against the Flood, not with them

Are you trying to draft a Declaration of Independence?

No, just suggest a change and support that change with reasons.

You are suggesting that a particular forum is not a sub-set of the public forums and deserves (for what reason I can't seem to grasp) to be treated as an independent and self-governing group.

This site (and our hosts) have the ability for any collection of members to do just that, private groups.

But the idea that the public forums are all created equal but that one is "more equal" than the others is, at least to me, a non-sequitur.

Sounds like Quebec, wat.

From what I gather, you're trying to turn the Flood into a democracy. I have bad news: this site doesn't allow for the public forums to do such a thing.

Only regret is I didn't play more of it.

If you haven't noticed by now, I'm sort of a jerk.

If you don't like it so much, just make an off site forum like the Flood. Then you don't even have to worry about anything, have whomever you want as a mod, and as many mods as you want.

I know right? I thought it was getting out of hand when we would see "Ambassadors" from the flood come into the Community forums for more moderator support.

On topic, the flood is forum, nothing more. If you really have this idea of community, then it shouldn't be too difficult for you to take all of your "Floodians" and move them into a group or better yet, your own site.

Um, no. You just can't plan spam attacks or anything extreme. The group admin makes the rules, not public forum moderators such as recon and duardo.

The flood is not a nation but a culture, a group of people and like any group of people it is bound under the law: Under The Unided state's constitution and under Bungie's user agreement.

That's were you are wrong. The constitution is the supreme law of any nation.

I am under the Mexican Constitution for example. Everyone has rights and obligations to a Constitution, the flood is no exeption.

Only foreign users (like me) are excempt of the U.S Constitution (They are under theirs). No one is above the law; the flood is again not an exeption.
