Subject: What if the flood were the infected in multiplayer infection?

Another mission The powers have called me away Another time
To carry the colors again My motivation An oath I've sworn to defend To win the honor Of coming back home again
No explanation Will matter after we begin
Unlock the dark destroyer that's buried in me
My true vocation And now my unfortunate friend
You will discover A war you're unable to win
ILL HAVE YOU KNOW THAT IV BECOME INDESTRUCTIBLE

I have given this some thought and i think all of you know what i mean by this. Through out HALO's gaming history infection has been a very fun; entertaining part of the multiplayer experience.
But this is just something iv always thought about, what if... rather than simply playing as human or covenant but with a olive tinted armor to represent being infected. Why not have the infected being the flood, i mean real flood. If your avatar is a spartan then you are the human flood. Elite the Elite spawned flood. Now as we all know the flood have always been a menace with its spores, so why not if you die as a flood but your spore is not destroyed, then you start running around as a spore. Think about it, 16 player game last man standing and suddenly rather than getting mobbed by people with swords he has the horrid flood galloping towards him. He guns down a few and thinks its all good, Suddenly players hop out as spores and crawl over to him. suddenly what he thought was a break from being attack, turns into him being devoured by spores.

Speak your mind on the subject, this is only my opinion.

Youngie by day Youngie by nature.....

Originally in halo 3 at least, it was stated the graphical requirement for those kinds of models over multiplayer were too great or it was too difficult (considering time limits) to produce to the level Bungie wanted. But now with firefight well established things may be different! I liked H3 infection, but reach-fection is just boring and predictable. Idea approved.

Scandinavian Master Race!

The controls could be similar to Singularitys tick.

Gameplay video.

The OST for ODST!

That would win hard. Don't see why they didn't do it for Reach.

yeah and alpha zombies should be flood juggernauts

Great, wonder how long it takes to kill them when it lags.

In a room filled with kings and queens some days i feel like the jester!...

Never really was a fan of infection but playing it this way I would've definitely played it a lot more often

That would be cool, the combat forms could use their antler-claw things instead of swords. The infection form could take over a fallen human body and use its shotgun/magnum as well. If you're a zombie long enough, you would turn into a carrier form!

Interesting. Although, I think we're getting a little carried away.

This does sound cool and interesting, but I don't know if it would work. I don't want to be a naysayer, but once the combat form is killed, you're saying you become a little infection bubble right after you die? I'd think you'd be way to easy to kill when that happens, and then what? Do you respawn as a combat form? And if you're a combat form and you kill someone, technically they're not infected, just killed, so do they respawn as a Spartan or Elite, or as a combat form? Because it seems to me like it would hard to actually, technically infect somebody.

Hope they do that in halo 4 or even halo anniversary
