Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

The lack of James makes me sadface. Haha, oh well. I personally admire James for his doggedness. I haven't read the books in awhile, so I'm a bit fuzzy on the details, but I recall him taking on a Hunter while wounded or something along those lines.

It did, the others had to make a huge rock fall on the Hunter, which didn't kill it by the way...

No, after he got his arm blown off (elbow down) he still helped John, Fred, and Kelly immobilize the Hunters. Then, he passed out after that. So, one arm blown off didn't stop him from taking on those Hunters. Good try at trying prove me wrong, though. Maybe next time...

Linda, Kurt and Lucy.

Also, I think Kurt gets too much praise for being an "amazing" SPARTAN, I read somewhere on another forum someone dared call him the best...far from IMO.

Kurt was the best. John was only chosen because he was "lucky", Kurt had a degree of precognitive abilities which allowed him to see traps and other things before they happened.

Kurt wasnt "The best"...clearly an opinon.

I chose Master chief, but I would of went with Fred if he was up there. Why is this poll littered with Noble Team and no other notable SPARTANS, that quite frankly did a better job at not dying then Noble team did.

Also, I think Kurt gets too much praise for being an "amazing" SPARTAN, I read somewhere on another forum someone dared call him the best...far from IMO.

Spartans falling to their deaths from a Pelican...(Part of Read Team) Spartans getting killed by Plasma Pistols (technically, a Jackal killed Sam, since he got him with a plasma shot that breached his suit, rendering him unable to leave with John and Kelly, despite Spartans being able to see things in "slow-motion") Spartans getting killed by Needlers (James, Daisy, The Harvest Spartan) Yeah...

Also, my second and third favorite Spartans are Arthur and Solomon, yes, I went there.

Fair point, but I find myself rather bias somewhat towards Noble team...considering half of Halo:Reach destroys chunks of canon storyline...Noble team existing is one of them. Although apparently they are covering/covered up these mistakes I hear by rewriting books and putting extra info in Halsey's diary.

to be honest, i think Jerome was a total Bad @ss, and he never died either, the UNSC Spirit of Fire was just traveling without a Slipspace drive out in open space

Dying in a firefight is one of the most badass things that can happen to characters in modern day contemporary literature.

He was psychic, he could see things before they happened. Master Chief would die horribly.

Omg. This bearly means he was the best and also when did Master chief get brought into this discussion? We are hardly talking about who would win a fight. Also this "psychic" ability didn't help him avoid his death, now did it? No, so clearly it is not as powerful as you make it seem. I'm saying I don't like Kurt and just because he can sometimes see things before they happen it hardly makes him the best Spartan.

Dude he died protecting others so they could get into the dyson sphere on onyx.

He took a load of covenant out by activating two nuclear warheads, YES! two nuclear warheads, so his death was inevitable.

UMAD UMAD UMAD LOL

He got in the way of the Hunter to save his team members, he got hit in the solar plexus by the Hunter's shield in full force.

John notes at the beginnign of Ghosts of Onyx that Kurt's precognition had won his Green Team numerous training missions against John's Blue Team. Without Kurt, Blue Team would have all died when they were cornered by General Howard Graves.
