No. Being a Mythic Member shouldn't mean anything more than, "Hey, thanks for sticking around for so long without being a complete d-bag the entire time."

Because making you a Mythic Member, doesn't stop you from being a retarded ass cavity.
Gotta agree with Helveck here. It would be cool, but unfortunately, I don't think there are enough qualified Mythic members.

Well, it goes without saying, that was on loop-hole I had hoped someone could fill for me, I'm still working on my coffee right now. Nonetheless, I do believe the idea was a bit daft, and any spawn of it would take some serious work to limit it, all of which is just null in light of a strong Moderation team.

Collectivity will also most likely result in confrontation between mythic members about what threads are suitable to lock and which should not. The idea of weather to lock a thread, ban, or warn someone should be made by one person only to avoid bias and argument.
We're basically talking about an additional lock and increased weighting to reports, similar to what we already have. It would be just as anonymous as the current system so I don't see where those arguments would come from.

I like the idea but I'd rather implement it in a way where the cut wouldnt be at Mythic Member. It would be better if the mods just picked five people, regardless of title, each.

I can imagine little ModMinions running around right now, with silly little titles. I think the core of my idea is to enlarge the Moderation team, in light of Bungies new project, as it really means Bungie will be looking at a strong PR presence, and can't stand to have filth on their website, as they have in the past.

EDIT: Dammit, I forgot this isn't The Flood, so please forgive the Double Post.

No, I don't think that's a good idea. We all have that handy "report" button and it works fine.

I'm going with no. Moderators do a good job.

Don't get me wrong, they do. They honestly do, but they aren't always there, 24/7, but with the backing of 332ish Mythic members, they could keep things just THAT much cleaner. Bungie has a rep to keep clean now, and we all know The Halo: Reach forum is where things get dirty.
Fixed the flood ok now reach community has caught the plauge of the flood.

EDIT: Also, I'm predicting anyone under Mythic will say no, and Mythics will say yes.

Either way it doesn't matter. If people report it will eventually be looked upon by ninja, no matter the number of reports. I do not really see the need to grant any member privileges which result in their report being greater than anyone else's

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

No.

Mythic's are overrated.

I'm totally against that idea. I don't even know why the real mods have special titles nor do I understand why they would want such a thing. Personally I would have prefered to keep my standard title...but that's never going to be an issue since we're not living in Narnia.

All was shattered, and all but memory lost, and one memory above all others, of him who brought the Shadow and the Breaking of the World. And him they named Dragon.

Absolutely not.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

You basically just described the report button, more or less, except the report button doesn't discriminate based on the color of the skin of your title bar

This.

Achronos has said that titles are just for fun, let's keep it at that.

I'm going to say "No" on the basis that half of the users with a 'Mythic' title are trolls.
