If you want to know a good ethernet hub for Halo LANS, here's a good one I found. It's made y NETGEAR, it has 8 ethernet ports, with an AC plug for power. It's inespensive ($50 for an 8 port isn't that much). STAPLES has a good selection as well. They have ethernet cables, patch and crossover, for your LAN's. Plus, on the hub, you get a $10 mail-in rebate. I've just bought the hub today and it works fine. It has equipment for wall mounting, and a stand, just like the ps2 one. Want XBL, but only have USB connections for your computer? Buy an adaptor that makes USB turn into an ethernet connection for only $24.99 (also from STAPLES). Hope that his info can make your dull split-screen days be looked back upon and laughed at.

Thanks for the info! I've been looking for a good hub, so I think I'll get this one.

I wouldn't recommend netgear routers. The NAT is to restrictive and you might find yourself unable to connect to a friends game. I'd stick with routers that have the xbl compatiable logo on them. I went through a mess with my netgear router and ended up going and buying a linksys. linky

Oh ok. Maybe I'll buy a linksys one then. I never knew there were so many :S.

yes a router is way different than a hub. a router will let you share a single internet connection with your pc, xbox, and anything else. hubs just connect the computers together to share files and printers.

hubs are kind of slow actually. i would sugges buying a router with a switch (hard to find one that isn't nowdays) and stay away from hubs. if you try to host a rather large game on a hub you'll notice some lag.
