Exactly that. Like I said, those who are very good, and those who are dead. Master Chief is very good. All those people are dead. That's all that matters.

In war, there are two types of people: Those who are very good, and those who are dead. Would you care to guess which is very good and which is dead?

Ah right, so that means most of the Spartan II's, Captain Keyes, Johnson, most of the Spartan III's, most of humanity... They all sucked cause they died?

Right, so the civilian song-writer is super-good then? Because she lived to the end of the human-covenant war.

Your theory is filled with stupidity.

To you, the coward is the best man of the squad because he always survives battles due to running away.

Master Chief, because he has something Jorge doesn't. Luck.

I'd still vote for Jorge, luck can only get you so far before it runs out. Plus Chief has Cortana as well, so it wouldn't be much a "fair" fight since he has her coaching him the whole way.

Just saying.

I'm tired of hearing the same old dumb excuse, "But...Chief has Cortana." Chief was fine without Cortana (He was without her most of Halo 3, plus he was fine before he even knew who Cortana was.) Also, Jorge had 5 other Spartans with him. So, Chief having Cortana is a poor excuse. Master Chief would win anyday. Not to mention Master Chief already survived three Halo games and will (most likely) survive the next trilogy. Even if he dies at the end of Halo 6, he still survived 6 games when Jorge only made it through barely half of one game. Not to mention everything Chief had done in those three Halo games, in the books, and what he will do in the trilogy to come.

The unfailing "That character survived more games/movies, therefore they automatically win against that characer who died in one."

Just stating facts. Look at all Master Chief accomplished and look at all Jorge accomplished. Jorge doesn't even act like a Spartan. I'm not surprised, though, considering Bungie must've suffered from amnesia when making the campaign. But, I don't expect you to get what I'm saying since Halo: Reach is the holy grail, to you, and has no flaws whatsoever and is the most perfect game evar maed! And you'll just keep defending every little aspect of the game.

If its a fist fight george would win because hes stronger and wieghs 100 more pounds than master chief. But if it's a gunfight chief would win hands down.

Doesn't act like a Spartan... how? He has compassion?

I look at what Master Chief accomplished, and note how much of it he did with help, and what aspects he was NOT responsible for as some people like to claim.

Such as destroying the Covenant. Master chief helped some, but the credit goes to Thel and the Elites. Defeating the flood, he couldn't do that without Cortana. Destroying alpha halo... Once again, Cortana made the plan. Killing Regret, okay he gets most of the credit there, though Truth gets a portion for recalling the Elite reinforcements.

Then everything before the Halo events Chief did as a Squad leader, thus meaning he cannot take all the credit.

Edit: Reach is not the holy grail, as is not perfect. However not bending over to the chief is different then absolutely hating every aspect of Halo Reach to the point of blindness, which you do.

Spartans aren't supposed to be Heavy's in Team Fortress 2. They're supposed to be agile and elite soldiers. His armor alone doesn't make any sense. Like stated above, MJOLNIR is supposed to read your nerve signals and move accordingly. And since when does a Spartan carry around a turret, at all times? Again, they made him a stereotypical heavy soldier, which Spartans aren't. But, then again, what should I expect? Like I said before, Bungie obviously forgot about canon when making this game.

lol...hating reach to the point of blindness. Good one. No, there's actually a few things Reach did well. Like assassinations, the reload animation, and it had graphical upgrades and whatnot. The textures were great. They put a lot of detail into it. The customization is the best. There are some good things in Reach. But, the bad outweighs the good. If I were blindly hating Reach I'd say "Assassinations are stupid!" (even tho you can op out of doing them.) Or "Halo 2's graphics were so much better!" That's blindness.

Think of it this way then. Without Chief the events of the trilogy may not of went very smoothly, regardless of who helped John perform all these actions, the fact is he performed them and people will allways refrence these actions as to why he is great.

Now if Jorge wasn't in Halo: Reach... Reach would still have been glassed.

That is pretty much it to be honest.

Jorge. He died halfway through the game. Plus MC only has like 4 games about him so far. Jorge almost saved Reach, too. Master Chief only destroyed a couple Halo rings, a Gravemind and his minions and practically brought down the whole Covenant hierarchy.

Jorge by far. [/quote

B: It's not the weight, it's the size. Get a large backpack, put it on (filled with stuff), then get a box comparable to the heavy machine gun turret. See if you can sprint around while carrying it all.

That's like saying that a Styrofoam replica would slow me down...Sure I wouldn't be able to swing my arms but I wouldn't be slogging around. He's a spartan (II, the good ones) so he shouldn't be as "encumbered" as they make it seem by an ammo backpack and a turret. Oh and btw (just from what I've seen here) do you LIKE to argue with everybody? I haven't seen (I may have missed it, if I did point it out) you agree with anyone...

chief cuz he has mystic, since he doesnt have a face.
Gorge was weak once we saw he was only human. but thier fight would be to the death

Debate can be fun. And the people I agree with on many things aren't as active here these days.

Master Chief is way better because he destroyed 2 halo rings, he destroyed the ark, he killed the prophet of regret, he destroyed 343 guilty spark, and is the only known Spartan to have survived reach.

False, there are more Spartans alive and you make it sound as if he did everything on his own.

Of course Chief would win. Chief would beat anything because bungie gave him the "talent" of luck. No matter what Chief wins. I personally think the luck thing goes too far. If it weren't for the plotshield surrounding Chief, Jorge would have it in the bag.

But seriously, MC is better. We know how the Covenant-human war went with Chief in the position he is in. If Jorge and MC switched places, it would be hard for things to have gone better.

Any Spartan could have done what Chief did. Remember Chief was not the best Spartan at well, anything. He only had the power to emit a massive plot shield wherever he went.

This could of been true of they didn't depict Jorge to be a slow moving chunk of mass. Jorge should be very fast and agile but insted he barely does anything in Halo:Reach campaign other then walk briskly. Now any description of other S-II's I've read in the books would describe them be a fast, agile death machines. I don't know if this case would change if he removed the backpack and stopped carrying the machine gun but I would of thought thanks to MJOLNIR carrying anything on your back wouldn't be a huge problem to your speed.

If Jorge was depicted better I'd agree with you no doubt but as it stands he does barely anyhting other then die and kill a small amount of covenant during what little appearance he had in the game.

Jorge doesn't feel me with much confidence when he is the only example of a S-II in Reach and he kinda did a poor job at it. So I guess that also factors into why I chose Chief...even if it is just my own personal opinion on the topic.

master chief had different things enhanced. if you go back a couple of weeks on this site 343 even tell you what features of him have been genetically modified (if i can find it ile link it).

things are hard to find now though so im not making any promises, im sure some other must have read it as well

sorry on topic, master chief of course

If you think Master Chief is part machine, you must go back to the Reach forum. And never come back.

ok let me change that to biological implantes
