What IF the Covenant have been developing something in our wake? What IF they've followed suit to our SPARTAN program, tweaked it a bit, and indeed are developing an answer to our OWN heavily armored and augmented special infantry? They are, after all, scavengers and not creators. That phrase, coined in the books, may not always apply to Forerunner tech.

It MAY also apply to US in the sequel.

Imagine...a Gold Commander Elite.

You are right about the covenants scavanging non forerunner technology, because in FoR, I think it was the admiral, was talking about how the covenant were trying to take our AI, and they were learning to take information out of our computers without having to board our ships. That is why all ships must purge their navigation databases before contact with the covenate (as per the Cole Protocol). Also, in First Strike, you learn that the covenant did steal our AI.

I call it the Zealot(not to be based from Starcraft mind you, I thought of it before I ever played Starcraft)

This is the equivalent to a Spartan. Trained from birth to be guards for the Prophets(Brutes are not Prophet guards, they are Temple Guards. Read more carefully before any of you open your trap on that one). They are sort of a secret service. Much better than Elites.

Stronger, faster, smarter. Fluent in all languages both UNSC and Covenant. Capable of using any Covenant weapon(they destest anything human believing we are trully an affront to the gods).

They stand roughly 6' tall. Full white colored body armor with streaks of black along the sides and back. A blue visor remisnicent of the Master Chief's but way cooler. Full body shielding twice as strong as that of a Gold Elite (meaning this bad boy can take 170 MA5B bullets on legendary, sound fun yet?). On it's left guantlet is a tower shield very simliar in design to the Jackal's shield. Which can be activated/ disactivated on a whim. While next to that and on it's other arm are single bladed plasma swords that come out as the Zealot requires.

This guy is a total bad ass. Even capable of flipping a Warthog if need be.(Idea was thought of before Frankie mentioned CENSORED being able to do that.) All in all this is an enemy that is extremely rare to seen inside the Covenant ranks. Mostly because of their holy duty and the because their species is by far the rarest in all of the Covenant.

Evidence???

We all know about the "GREAT SPECIAL OPS ELITE" that you are refering to (OXM article). But, everything else you state (flipping over cars, shielding, etc.) seems to be nothing but assumptions. Where are the actual facts to support your claims... an interview or something that states the special ops Elite can do these things. We know about the updates where Frankie describes a new character having the ability to do these things, but he never states that special ops Elites will be that character. Don't go bluntly claiming things with no facts to back it up... your going to give some newbie a dumb idea to start a thread on:)

IN-GAME RIVAL!! NOT BOOK RIVAL!! Not a BOSS, but one helluva mother -blam!-er!

Yah, anyways, this thread's gone to -blam!- i thought the prospect of a super duper program would be cool, not -blam!-ing and moaning about brutes and shields.

I still don't see how we got the Chief's Shielding from the Jackals...Nylund, man, where WERE your thoughts? The Jackals are the LITTLE -blam!-es, with energy BRACERS, not full-body B/S.

Once again someone falls prey to not being able to admit when they're wrong. Learn the facts SPARTAN 021 before you start throwing insults around. The facts being, the books are the background story to the game... they are one in the same! It's one thing to insult forum goers, but insulting Nylund??? Man, you really need to learn how to admit when your wrong!
