I voted 2. The layout is great, but sometimes, the people just want me to throw a rock at their heads. Still some good people though.

I'd give it a 9/10. Pretty much perfect, aside from a few of the members.

These are the best, most well organized, and run forums I have ever been to. Way better than the forums I used to moderate.

the layout is good, the navigation is simple, in short, this site is excellent.

it could use a few things though(search feature and karma system anyone?)

  • 03.20.2006 9:12 PM PDT

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

My favorite aspects of Bungie.net are the overall look/layout pf the site and the 7th Column. I have yet to find a similar looking site. Bungie is very unique and it looks nice. I also have yet to see a developer's site that is this 'indulgent' with the community.

  • 03.20.2006 11:19 PM PDT

Search Feature would be good, although i hope it is intergrated well and not crudely shoved in like other sites i have seen.

Its ok, the direct interaction between developers & gamers is really cool, on saying that the site gets kinda boring though.

It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who has given us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial. And it is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves the flag, whose coffin is draped in the flag that allows the protester to burn the flag.Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, USMC

Ehhhh

It Sucks!

Nah Its a cool place to visit.

I dig the equality they create. No post counters (And therefore no snobbery), and uniform avatars (once again no more snobbery)

And it sure makes the Mods seem really God-like when they sweep in with white writing and cool avatars... heh

Bungie is my homepage! There! I said it! Are you happy now?!

The fact that Bungie.net is so unique makes it a great site. However, it's size and, ahem, members, makes it a bit of an unmodifiable behemoth nowadays. My time spend here has decreased since the year anniversary of Halo 2. Once the next viral ad campaign hits and Halo 3 is announced, this place will be hopping.
The site is at it's best when community members interact with the team members, though that happens a lot (if not more) at HBO. I hope that someday soon there will be enough content on the front page to warrant daily checks.

I voted "Very good" B.net kicks ass but there is no such thing as a perfect website. I would say exellent but there are a few {just a few, still a 9 out of 10 website} downfalls. Like lack of things to do besides forums and groups; {Acually, pretty much nothing to do exept that} and thats it, accually. B.NET KICKS @SS!!!!!

It's nice, i'll give it that. But. The general atmosphere isn't the best, even after the cleanup. The layout of the main site is great, though finding some individual, old, articles can be a pain. The forum itself IMO sucks. It's just phpbb in disguise, but some smart person tacked .net passport integration into it and sold it for tens of thousands of dollars to big companies. I'd have just preferred real phpbb with a funky skin, the passport integration isn't actually that useful, except for maybe the gamertag linking, but let's be honest, apart from saving the 30 seconds it would have taken to search your own gamertag, it's a bit useless.
