More campaign for my money. I love really long FPS games that are good. Sure, it wasn't as long as Half Life 2, but it had those endless feeling moments of fun that I didn't want to end anytime soon. The rest of the Halo's, for me, were too short. A $60 game shouldn't be beaten in a day or two, it should take at least 3 days to a month.

I once read that a Bungie employee said that if there was anything that he could go back and change in Halo CE, that he would have cut out some of the repeating corridors and other stuff to make the game shorter. I say no! No! Wrong! Bad!

I know that making a game short leaves more room for multiplayer features, that's why games should always come with two discs. One for campaign, and one for every other game mode.

Games are more expensive these days, and hopefully the gameplay time standard for FPSs will one day increase back to the way it was before MM took over the FPS universe.

Like I always say: Every FPS campaign should be as long as Half Life 2. Your thoughts?

I think half life 2 was to long and boring. But you are right, just hav a look at homefront or mw2s campaign. I hope halo 4 is as long as halo 2, or longer

Halo 4 campaign should have atleast 300 hours of gameplay!

That's weird, I remember beating Halo 2 really quickly. Halo CE took me a week.

Halo 1 had 10 levels, Halo 2 had 16. It also had--easily--the hardest legendary.

snipers.....will haunt me forever.

Religion breeds hate

I loved halo 2's storyline and it's length, hopefully 4 will be as good.

Same, it was my favourite by far. I really enjoyed the variety of missions and playing as the Arbiter was awesome.

Can someone tell me if the br will be back for the anniversary edition? Every trailer I've seen looks like players are using a dmr... Thanks! And sorry for being a bit off topic.

Halo CE had the longest levels... but they were uninteresting and a number were simply doing a previous level in reverse.

I found them very interesting.
And I must agree H2 had the longest campaign since I did the CEs one on legendary in less then a week, while Halo 2 took me more then a week and a half.

I'll say this right now but, Reach had the worst campaign of them all...........

"Wake me...when you need me."

Halo CE was not a longer campaign. You just played it that way.

Yes, and imho opinion the best. Not that any of the Halo game's campaigns were bad, just Halo 2's was so much about kicking ass. It fit the music so well.

If you think you're the best fluffy, gun shootin', Brute pwning guy around, you are sadly mistaken... Fear the dreaded "mew"!

While you're incorrect about Halo: CE is the longest (it's the best, but Halo 2 is beyond a doubt longer), I see where you're coming from.

However, what you heard may not be right. I think I heard that, although they weren't removing any corridors, they made navigating then ten times easier with help of guiding lights and the like.

Hardest or cheapest? All I remember was trying to skip all the levels so I wouldn't die in the 4ish shots it took to kill me or 1 shot from the many jackal snipers...

If they made Halo 4 with a decent and lengthy campaign then I'm all for it. I was a little sad when I completed Reach in a day...

I'm talking the locations.

The ones in forerunner areas were all bland grey hallways.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I hope they make it the right length. ODST's campaign was a bit on the shorter side, but it was my favorite campaign and the best Halo campaign, imo. So, yes, I'd love a long campaign. But, I'd rather have them make the mission in consideration to the story. Not, "Oh I'm going to throw in this mission to make it longer and for the hell of it."

I think you're forgetting about Halo 3's campaign.

Absolutely. I spent soo much more time on Halo 2 than CE. I think Halo: CE might have felt longer for some people because it was the very first Halo game (new feel, different type of game mechanics, etc.)

Felt longer to me because the areas were kinda unchanging and you hiked for forever...

"YAY, MORE GREY HALLWAYS!"
