There's no way Nate Hawbaker's favorite hero is Alan Stuart

ALAN IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN!

Where you push the button after jumping down the hole, my friend told me the thing that rises up out of the ground is the Halo 1 ring. I told him that was false, but he seems to fervently believe it is.

Can someone elaborate?

We should know better, because we are better.

It is Installation 04(II). It is the replacement for the ring you destroyed.

What a waste....

it isn't the same ring, no. But Spark makes another one using the Ark.

Cave Johnson here, we're done!

PS: If you are reading this comment while imagining my voice, don't panic. That's just a side effect of the testing.

Spark wasn't making it, the Ark was simply replacing it. Hell Spark didn't even know until he arrived at the ark (Second to last cutscene in the halo 3 mission "The Ark").

It is the same ring in the regard that they both are built to serve a purpose, which is to be lighted upon activation and kill a certain area of the galaxy.

But the exact same? No, similar design, similar architecture, just different rings considering that the original was destroyed.

Ok, and when you do the driving sequence, where the heck are you? On the new ring, or what?

It's a new ring, but the replacement for the old one. The parts that you are driving on are parts that have yet to be fully built, as the ring is new and currently being constructed.

But after chief makes the jump, behind him it appears to be the ark...

@accordingto343

Your one stop shop for all of 343's fabulous errors and ridiculous notions in the Halo lore.

The Ark is bigger than the Halo is it not? You fly away from the Halo, but the Ark eclipses the slender ring.
